Maricopa CEP

I talked to the Grand Canyon Advisor at Glendale Community, he told me that my scores are good and should apply. When I talked to the Glendale Community advisor they told me they do not accept plus or minus grades which lowered my GPA immensely. I'm trying not to get discouraged but as it stands right now my GPA for GCU is 3.28 and Maricopa sees it as a 2.88. I took the HESI exam and received an 88% Eng and 94% Math, which I am retaking to raise my Eng score. Even with that, my Maricopa score will only reach 79/80. My question is how do the two schools communicate on something like this? Also, I am active duty military, I heard that they usually hold seats for the military, does anyone know if this is true?

I know this is some time passed now! But I actually ended up getting into my second choice for CEP ? I am still really happy with it because I really loved all the schools I applied to. It was for GWCC and my points were 83.35! I wasn't very surprised I got my second choice though because MCC is quite competitive.

I got in GWCC too as my second choice. I’m still pretty happy with it also. My first choice was MCC and hear it was really competitive this past round.

Yeah they tend to be. But CONGRATS it is exciting to still get in! are you doing the day schedule?

Yes I’m soo excited to start hopefully this pandemic will go away soon! Yes, I’m doing the day schedule. You on day also?

I know I have been concerned about schooling with everything going on right now! But yes I will be on day as well!

Has anyone received any more information from Gateway Community College? I know we were supposed to get more information sometime in April and I am thinking COVID19 is delaying things quite a bit. I just wanted to double check.

I actually have not yet either! I’ve been wondering the same thing. I just got my info for my university yesterday though!

I have no heard anything from gateway Cc yet either. We still have a couple of weeks to wait it out until we hear something. I’m sure the faculty and department are trying there best to get things rolling. My university have been in most contact since I start with them for Summer first.

I just want to make sure I do not miss any announcements.

I am not with SCC but I got my information yesterday from Gateway for my Block 1! Hopefully you get your info soon I get so antsy waiting for things too ha!

Thank you! I was told next week they should be sending them out. I just feel like I will miss something if I dont keep checking.
