Maricopa CEP Spring 2021 (Applicants for May 1st- June 2nd)

U.S.A. Arizona

Published

Hey everyone! I know we're a few weeks out til applications are accepted, but I figured I'd kick this off sooner than later. Who's applying for the CEP program next month?

They pushed the application dates back due to the COVID 19. Are you guys having any trouble talking to an advisor?

Where are you guys going to apply?

GPA?

HESI scores?

Overall points?

I'm applying to EMCC first choice, GCC second choice, and PCC third choice with ASU.

GPA 3.61

HESI Eng 91.33

HESI Math 98

No prior degree

Overall points 82.77

I’m applying this round to EMCC/GCC/PVCC. I am borderline point wise, 80. I needed to retake my HESI one more time before applying, but EM took too long to come up with a solution and I just turned it in. They waited until the last week of the application period to send something out?. I wonder how many people won’t be applying this round or changing their field of study because of COVID? It would be interesting to see that statistic. What are your thoughts?

That’s what I was thinking too! Honestly I hope that happened because it will increase my chances of getting in. Kinda messed up but hey it’s competitive out here ! Plus this field of study is not for the weak LOL

I am applying to EMCC as my first choice!! My GPA is a 3.68, my HESI English is an 88, my math is a 94, and I have an associates for an extra 2.5. If I calculated correctly, I should have around an 84.2!! I applied last semester with a 76, so I am so happy I was able to retake classes and my HESI to bring my score up. I am hoping it is enough to get in this time around

I was calculating my GPA with my whole classes instead of calculating it with only the required classes LOL I am glad the advisor helped me with that.

Just so you know, different university partners calculate your GPA differently, so you could potentially have higher points by going with a different school! Good luck!

I strongly recommend to everyone to make sure the advisor at the university of your choice tells you what your points are and don’t calculate them yourself. Just so you can be 100% sure of what points you have. I went from what I though it was 81.05 to a high 78 points ? I am still going to apply since there might not be a lot of people applying this cycle due to COVID.

anyone out there applying with a 78?

Which university are you applying to? and how were you able to find contact info for an advisor?

Not op, but the contact info for an advisor is on the main Maricopa nursing CEP page there are brochures for the different universities and you can find contact information in there.

I am applying to GCU. I am a little discouraged because my points are low but if I do not get in this cycle then for Dec cycle I will have my AA completed and that would help my points by 2.5. So we shall see how this cycle looks like.

I might retake the HESI but I don't feel like paying the $122. I paid $40 at EMCC in Feb and I was going to retake it this month but of course now I can't.

I wish everyone the best of luck!

You never know what could happen, especially with Covid maybe there won't be as many applicants? But if you end up needing to retake the HESI, I ordered this book from amazon and it was extremely helpful, especially for the math section.

I was just curious what you mean by this? I’ve been looking at ways to retake my HESI, but of course everything has been down due to covid and not being able to meet in person. Did they recently say something about taking the HESI right now?

I received an email from EMCC that there is a place to go take the test but it is $122

I was finally able to apply yesterday after my BIO 202 final grade posted! First choice is MCC, 2nd CGCC, and 3rd SCC with Ottawa as my university. I have 83.73 points. I'm am really hoping that I get accepted! I know that we all are, though. The wait will be tough. Good luck everyone!

Hi all! I just took my HESI today at Prometric and sent my advisor my application. Cutting it close I know! I was lucky to find a spot at Prometric. I’m applying to GWCC evening program/ASU. My total points are 86.13. Good luck to everyone! ?
