Hey everyone! I know we're a few weeks out til applications are accepted, but I figured I'd kick this off sooner than later. Who's applying for the CEP program next month?

They pushed the application dates back due to the COVID 19. Are you guys having any trouble talking to an advisor?

Where are you guys going to apply?

GPA?

HESI scores?

Overall points?

I'm applying to EMCC first choice, GCC second choice, and PCC third choice with ASU.

GPA 3.61

HESI Eng 91.33

HESI Math 98

No prior degree

Overall points 82.77

Specializes in CNA.

CourtneyMarie1207 - I agree with thaleeyah.

Specializes in PCT in PICU.

Thank you both! I have an appt with my advisor next week so I'll definitely ask, but wanted some input cause it had me panicking a little!

Hi all! I'm applying to MCC as my first choice, and then SCC and GWCC as my second and third. I've decided to go with FPU as the university partner. I currently have an appointment to retake the HESI on May 30, but here are how my scores look now.

GPA: 4.00

HESI scores: 82 Math, 88 English composite

Overall points: 83.1 right now, hopefully higher once I take the HESI again!

I applied to Scottsdale CC/GCU. My 2nd choice was Paradise Valley and 3rd choice was Mesa CC

GPA= 3.7

HESI ENG= 87.33

HESI MATH= 92

plus a previous AA degree, my overall points came to 83.87

Good luck to everyone!!

I just put my application in today ?

MCC with ASU (CGCC and Scottsdale for second and third choices).

GPA - 3.875

HESI - Math - 94

HESI - English - 96

+5 points for previous Bachelor's

91.5 points

Good luck everyone!

I’m applying this round to EMCC/GCC/PVCC. I am borderline point wise, 80. I needed to retake my HESI one more time before applying, but EM took too long to come up with a solution and I just turned it in. They waited until the last week of the application period to send something out?. I wonder how many people won’t be applying this round or changing their field of study because of COVID? It would be interesting to see that statistic. What are your thoughts?

I was just curious what you mean by this? I’ve been looking at ways to retake my HESI, but of course everything has been down due to covid and not being able to meet in person. Did they recently say something about taking the HESI right now?

In case anyone is wondering, there is a way you can retake the HESI, I went through Prometric. It will show nothing is open on the schedule but check 2 or 3 times a day as they’re adding dates intermittently. Thats how I got mine scheduled.

I strongly recommend to everyone to make sure the advisor at the university of your choice tells you what your points are and don’t calculate them yourself. Just so you can be 100% sure of what points you have. I went from what I though it was 81.05 to a high 78 points ? I am still going to apply since there might not be a lot of people applying this cycle due to COVID.

anyone out there applying with a 78?

Hi, can you elaborate on this? What changed in their calculation? The classes used in GPA calculation?

Nothing changed but just to make sure you know the exact points ☺️

I think she meant like how did you think it was 81.05 but really it was 78? Because that’s a big big difference.
Were you calculating your GPA wrong or including non pre-req classes ?
