Maricopa CEP Fall 2021 (Applicants for December 1, 2020- February 1, 2021)

Published

Hello everyone! Just wondering how many of you are applying to the CEP program this coming December 2020?  I couldn't find a post for the upcoming Maricopa CEP application period so I figured I'd start a post to see who will be applying and if you would like to share your score and schools of choice.

I will be applying to Grand Canyon University with:

First choice: Glendale Community College (weekend cohort)

Second Choice: Estrella Mountain Community College

HESI A2 scores:

Englist - 95.33%

Math - 98%

GPA: 3.84

No prior degree

Overall points: 86.47

It looks like a lot of you guys have applied with ASU as the uni choice. Is there anyone who chose Ottawa university? I'd love to get in contact with you via facebook, forum, or group chat so we could work on the university assignments together when they're assigned. Just one more week to go! Best of luck to everyone in here! I'm seeing a lot of great scores and I'm certain we're all going to get in no problem!

I am going to be a nervous wreck as it draws closer to the 22nd! Good luck to all of you!

Is it bad that I haven’t gotten any emails from the university ? I know it’s up to the community college to accept or deny me, but in previous forums I have read that people get emails from the university but I haven’t gotten anything. I didn’t know if that is normal or not.

No news is good news. It’s a pain and harder said than done but we have to be patient. Also, even if you had heard from the university it still wouldn’t mean anything as you already mentioned.

I know it’s silly but I didn’t have to apply to ASU directly right ? The Maricopa college that I applied to will take care of that right ?

No, from what I’ve seen once you’re actually accepted they have a whole process as far as applying to the university. They tell students not to apply beforehand because there’s a separate group of staff that deals with CEP and it causes confusion so I’d just relax. Nothing to do but wait. Luckily we are almost there.

One more week guys ?

I submitted my application in December and I’ve been fine this whole time. But this past week has been tough and this next week is going to be even more tough. I’m getting sooo anxious!

Hi All!
I finally gave in and decided to make an account in this final week. Like others I was doing fine with the wait till this week. I was wondering if any of you are career changers or moms? I’m in a unique situation as I have a masters degree and I recently left my previous career as a teacher. I also have an almost 2 year old daughter. Just hoping to connect with anyone that might be in a similar situation. ☺️

I applied to ASU

First choice: Estelle Mountain

Second Choice: Glendale

 Overall points: 86.83

Good luck to everyone!

Same! Getting so anxious now...  I know they stated that letters will not be out until Feb 22, but I saw from previous application period(Dec 2019) that some letters went out on the 21st even though they're suppose to start going out Feb 24th.  ? So now I have been anxiously checking LOL

Yay! I’m glad to see that I’m not the only mom in this group. I felt similar with my job. Do you have any tips you’ve heard on how to do the program as a mom? I’ve heard how difficult it is and I’m trying to pick up any tips on how to balance it all if I get accepted.
