Maricopa CEP Fall 2021 (Applicants for December 1, 2020- February 1, 2021)

Hello everyone! Just wondering how many of you are applying to the CEP program this coming December 2020?  I couldn't find a post for the upcoming Maricopa CEP application period so I figured I'd start a post to see who will be applying and if you would like to share your score and schools of choice.

I will be applying to Grand Canyon University with:

First choice: Glendale Community College (weekend cohort)

Second Choice: Estrella Mountain Community College

HESI A2 scores:

Englist - 95.33%

Math - 98%

GPA: 3.84

No prior degree

Overall points: 86.47

I will be applying to ASU with GCC Weekends 

HESI A2

English- 95.33

Math-  98

GPA- 3.8

Total Points: 86.07

Hey I am also applying to the CEP program.

I am applying to the NAU campus with Phoenix college

HESI A2

English: 84.67%

Math: 90%

Cumulative score: 86%

GPA: 3.79

Total points: 81.03

Currently working on my bachelors and I am graduating in May 2021.

Hey guys, I’m not applying to the CEP for that semester, but I’m curious why you have chosen the GCC weekend program? Is it because you’ll be working on the side as well? If so, how many hours?

I’m sorry for all of the questions, but I would love to work whilst in the CEP, but advisors keep recommending against that. Would love to hear if others are working as well & how they’ll do it. Thank you!

I am doing it because of baby on the way! ? Hubby works on weekdays so it'll just make it easier to figure something out our schedule!  I originally wanted EMCC, because its easier to get to.  I will not be working, but I have heard other students working full time, some are working at night shift etc.  Definitely a job where you can be flexible with schedule if you do plan on doing it.  Plus it all depends on how you will manage your time! ?

I'm going to apply to MCC as my first choice and GWCC as my back up and I'm going with Ottawa University. I am confident that I will get in to my choices in this admissions cycle. Anyone else applying with Ottawa university? If so, have you heard anything about their program from somebody who graduated with their BSN there? Any positives? Any negatives? Yay I'm glad there's a post up for this coming cycle! 

I still haven't decided which community college I will make my first choice. Anybody have any insight? I'm between PVCC and GCC. I live at 59th ave and 101. Mileage wise, GCC is closer, but time wise, they're about the same since I live so close to the 101. 

My university of choice is ASU though. 

English - 94%

Math - 92%

GPA: 3.79

Overall points: 84.56

Question. If I retake a course I got a B in and get an A this time around, will that grade be calculated in instead? Trying to boost my points a little bit more.

From what I know about GPA, school should always use the most recent one.  So if you have an A on your retake, then that should be the updated score they need to use.  im just not sure how good they are checking the transcripts to make sure retake grades for some classes will be put in correctly.  I would put a note with my email to let them know.

This is my third time applying so say a small prayer for me to get in this time! I'm applying to GCC/ASU and EMCC as my second choice.

GPA 3.44

Prior Associates 2.5
