A thread for all those in March who are planning to take the NCLEX offering both support and any hints or tips that help
Good luck to all
My advice is really, the studying is the most difficult, just stay disciplined... !! Set whaTEVEamount you need.. 3 weeks, 4 weeks, etc. and literally act like you are your own DRILL SARGENT! All of us have it in us!!!! It is the worst part and once thats over.. then its our test date.. do what you are comfortable with I actually studied the night before and also reviewed the day of!! I even loaded some books with me on the passenger seat and was going to thumb through before I entered the test site but once i paked the car I looked over and decided not to ... the day was perfect, sun was out, found parking, got there early... so I walked in and the rest is history. If you cant study because youre not feeling up to it, then pile your books in the car and drive to the bookstore.. once youre there you have no choice! Thagts what I would do .. and though yes it did suck! I made it through 4 weeks because I told myself if I didnt study what else would I be doing? nothing but being lazy and a procrastinator... and really, take that time because the end results will reflect your discipline you dont want to retake it because you slaked off, do you?! I knw I sound like a drill sargent but I know you can do it... let the mean you get insdide your head and push you to the MAX! because when you get your passing grade you will be thanking that mean person!!!! my faith is with all of you! also I got my job today! hired on the spot and I start Thursday!!!!! Im freaking out! I have a lot of things to finish up tomorrow before heading to work ... Im still here rooting for all of you!!!

good posts. sometimes, i'm so anxious and sometimes i have no worries at all. both destructive! very much! and then losing focus...and then have to drag myself back to focus. i keep denying myself like all of u guys of all the temptations, then there are times, i give in. like i hadn't done my brows for a longest time coz i said, exam is more important, i'll take care of the looks part after exams. lol. and then couple of days ago, it was just too much for me going to library with unkept brows lol. i know stupid! so, i had it done.sometimes, my head feels empty, othertimes it feels like it's going to explode anytime soon and i can't take it anymore. and, then small things that are not suppose to aggravate me aggravates the heck out of me. so, i yelled at ppl close to me. poor things. i guess i'm not coping well. as long as i can have a rn infront of my name, my friends and loved ones will understand me hopefully. coz, computer won't.
sorry, i just needed to vent, coz my mind can't concentrate right now. thank you. please god, help this girl!
remember me in ur prayers also guys. i'll remember all of us in my prayers also. i hope god will listen to me.
i don't know what i wrote there. phew. so less time, so much to do. it's like i study and forget. i just want to cry . bye all. sorry :)
gosh i thought it was just me!!! yesterday i was doing questions on the saunders cd, and i kept getting things wrong, and i was like, "this is just not working!!!" so i quit, and turned to the book, and it was the same thing. i was like, "ugghhhh! forget it!" and just i lied down staring at the ceiling, wondering when will this all pass..
pray for me too..
my advice is to not pick up any study materials in the final two days before your exam. if you don't know it by that time, then two more days of cramming is not going to help you pass the exam. my advice is to try to relax and do something you enjoy.
congrats! and i will take this advice because the last time i tested, i know i wasnt supposed to pick up a book or whatever, but i did, and it made me more anxious, so i think that's why i blew it. this time, if in the final two days i feel unprepared, i'd rather reschedule to april. i really want to be prepared for this.
march group, you guys are awesome.
it was so hard when i found out that i didnt pass, but this group helped me pick myself up and refocus, plus you guys taught me so much. i hope with all the hard work we put in since january, we'll all pass.
You know what HeartJulz, you're right. If I flunk again, it's going to be because I am slacking off, because I did not prepare myself well. Ohhh the bed looks great, I wanna lie down, but I will not, NO MORE!!!..not until I finish this nclex. I'll gather up all of my energy for the last lap, I may be tired of this but I will get more of this if I'll slack. I see the finish line, I want to be there and stand there and know that I did it.
Thanks :redpinkhejulz,
Drill sargeant indeed!!
you really put me back on track...Thankyou so much!! :urck:yep no more slacking:nono: I am going to do this and do this well!! we will succeed.. wishiwereanurse... you're right,we the March family have really put our heart and soul into studying and doing what we are supposed to do.. its time now to just stick to it and get it done!! All the best to US!!!!!!!

I'm not looking for any congrats or pats on the back here. Instead I just want to pass along some good thougths/vibes in here.
I took the NCLEX RN yesterday. I had 75 questions with 12 of them being SATA. I really thought I had failed. I was pretty nervous until about 4:00pm today when I found out I passed.
If I can do it so can you!!
My advice is to not pick up any study materials in the final two days before your exam. If you don't know it by that time, then two more days of cramming is not going to help you pass the exam. My advice is to try to relax and do something you enjoy. I took my kids to the circus and just hung out. It was hard to resist the urge to pick up the books, but I forced myself not to. I went into the test relaxed and remained calm until it was over and then the waiting began. I swear, the waiting was worse than the exam.
Good luck to you all!
