BIG Feet Need shoes

Nursing Students Male Students

HI, so they aren't letting me wear sneakers anymore so i need nursing shoes. The problem is I have 13 inch (US) extra wide (4E) feet and after calling every uniform shop in town including the online stores, I'm starting to think they don't exist. Help ?

A good friend of mine is married to a man who is 7'1 and her son is the same height. They both have big feet. She mentioned a website called xlfeet.com that sells, what else, big shoes. She personally has not bought anything from them, but you may want to give them a try. Perhaps even if they don't have what you're looking for, they can order it for you or suggest where you might find what you're looking for?

Good luck!

XL feet is where i usually get my shoes and the first place i tried

Well, darn. Maybe you can explain your predicament to whomever told you to get new shoes? I have a feeling they don't realize your shoe size is not something where you can walk into the local store or stores and get off the shelf. To top it off, you'll be hard-pressed to find them online too.

I'm thinking maybe actually email a few places that sell men nursing shoes and ask them if they have it in your size. Once you get an emailed response (and more than likely, they'll probably say they don't have any), you can present this information to the person telling you to change shoes so you might make a case for yourself to keep using your sneakers. It's worth a shot if all else fails.

Here's hoping some males will chime into your post and offer you some options!

Maybe a local podiatrist can make some suggestions?

Can you explain your conundrum to your boss? If you truly cannot find shoes to fit you (which sounds like a reasonable concern), perhaps they'd make an exception (especially if the ones you've bought don't work out)? The right shoe is so important in our line of work because it is so physical; I'd hope your manager would understand that.

I know this is a very old post but this company has everything a bigfoot needs: Zappos.
