Should a male nurse wearing a scrub top and has chest hair be required to wear a T shirt underneath in order to cover up the chest hair?

Personally I like that added protection that a T-shirt gives me. Gee, just think of that next big glob of what ever being hacked right into that nice tuft of exposed chest hair! Hum, think that I will wear my T's, thank you very much.

Boy you know how to make a person gag!!!

OK I am going to stray from the original topic here!

Sorry snot in any form makes my throat clench!!! Good thing I work in veterinary medicine where most (keep in mind I said most not all) of our patients are not constantly clearing huge wads of snot out of their throat. Not much bothers me...abscesses, intestinal loop being vomited back up from where a dog ate them when her incision came open, teeth so rotten the only thing holding them in the mouth is the inch thick calculus...none of it bothers me. Let a cat get that thick stringy snot on me from an upper respiratory they are so prone to, or a prolapsed eye from some sort of trauma come in the door, or breast milk get on me...those things make me want to retch every single time I see them. I DO NOT know how anyone could work in human medicine either sometimes...people gross me out from the medical standpoint. If we get a client even thinking about vomiting, I have to leave the room for fear of doing the same! :uhoh21:

Gotta love what we do!!! :p

ROFLMAO :rotfl:

Maybe it is a military thing but I think that t-shirts project a more professional image. I think that women should wear them also because when some of them bend over there are no surprises left at all. I admit to peeking without trying. I think that although the view is nice and makes a dull day less boring it is still not professional.

men have hairy arms too. i sure hope no one would require long-sleeves.

men aren't the only ones with hairy arms  not to mention facial hair. if anyone knows any sikhs, they do not cut their hair or shave their face at all. some may consider their facial/head hair to be unruly and unkempt, but that's their religious right.

what about people who don't shave their armpits or legs???

Tweety, what the hell is a "morificecape" ? please.

Actually I know it as "manscaping". Comes from the word "landscaping" Same idea behind it.

cute eh?

I voted for "required", but I think more along the lines of "a suggested uniform accessory" for the medical staff with a high chest hair line, or those well endowed.

Although I DO think that printed underclothes should be outlawed when wearing white scrubs! :chuckle (Please do not wear your white scrub pants if you want to wear your heart print panties on Valentine's Day!) lol :p

Lets just outlaw white scrub pants.

Unless we're wearing shorts and tanktops, it really shouldn't pose a problem.

(Until deodorant is forgotten.)

Which seems to be pretty common as well...whole other thread though:uhoh21:

The only kind of scrubs I'm STONGLY opposed to are those capri scrubs in any medical setting
