Should a male nurse wearing a scrub top and has chest hair be required to wear a T shirt underneath in order to cover up the chest hair?

I guess as a society we've made all the women look as prepubescent as we can so now we're starting on the men.

Isn't that the truth! I thought it was just me since I am getting to old to look young anymore. LOL Maybe not, I justm ight have been right about thinking they all look, or try to look 12.

WOW, what a truth!

You know... what is good for the goose is good for the gander... it's about time that guys have to go through what women have ben putting up with for decades. :rotfl:

If there is "too much"....cover it up. Some things are better left to the imagination.

I personally think "just enough chest hair to make it interesting" will get to me everytime.

Cheerfuldoer.....you do have a point, and I WILL join you in that train of thought. (Sigh!)

I just want to add my :twocents: :

If you're a hairy-chested guy wearing scrubs, no T-shirt, AND you work in NICU, you may have already discovered just how painful the grasp reflex can be. :scrying:

I generally wear a colored t-shirt with my scrubs. I started wearing the t-shirts arfter noticing unsightly stains in my armpits. I figured a bit of t-shirt sticking out from under the sleeves was much less objectionable.

Wearing t-shirts in matching or contrasting colors is about as much fashion flair as I ever display. I have to admit I am toying with the idea of tie-dyed t-shirts under my scrubs.

not a fan of chest hair. So glad hubby doesn't have any. I'd like to see it covered up with a t shirt especially if he has a woolly mammoth type chest:rotfl: but I am not going to stare, make comments, or big fuss about it. That is just mean and hurtful.

I think it should behoove the person to wear undershirt over his "sweater." I don't have Robin Williams hiding in my scrub but I have a pretty decent amount of chest hair. I wear undershirt because my pits show if I don't, that's kinda gross. :chuckle

Hi and welcome to AllNurses.com! :)

I have to admit, I sure wish all men would trim their chest hair. :chuckle

I voted for no because I would hate it to HAVE to wear 2 shirts I get hot enough as it is. And usually its only me and the dudes c/o it being too hot. So trim if it looks like something is going to jump out of your top. And don't forget the back of your neck if something wooly liver thier. I don't care if you have it but I don't want to see it. :rotfl:

I have noticed your facility has several good policies when it comes to some touchy subjects. Sure wish I worked there!
