I have spoken to Staffordshire University today on behalf of a friend as she was wanting to obtain her transcripts, the chap i spoke to told me that they are starting to offer post graduate courses for people who didnt get the hours in maternity, mental health and childrens nursing, which could be good news for anyone short on hours.
He said it was in answer to growing demand!!!
I suppose it could be due to the job freeze in NHS trusts
anyway.. just thought i would share

might get the chance to work in Canada after all and have a broader nursing background.
thanks for the info
your wish is my command
Actually good idea as many students or newly qualfied nurses hit problems when wanting to move abroad as they don't meet hours.
Some contact details may be also of use

Aha, was looking for this thread as its the most promising lead for making up hours I've seen so far.
Thanks
Rika
hopefully EN is going to get a bit more information for us :)
Great, I was going to say keep us posted but was in a haste to reply!:nuke:. I am also following some leads here in OZ, but that would mean distance learning and I"m not sure if that is sufficient.
