make up?

Do you wear make up to work?

I don't wear make up during clinicals because it just feels yucky on my skin after 13 hour shifts

Mascara and chapstick. Must haves! :pntlft:

I wear waterproof mascara and chap stick. It is pointless to wear anything else because it all goes to heck after I bathe someone. I look like a hot mess after bathing someone.:vlin:

Always wear make up, my hair is always done and my scrubs are always ironed. Doing makeup and hair every day whether or not I'm working is as natural and easy for me as brushing your teeth. And its only 10 minutes tops to do both hair and makeup :)

I'd love to go makeup free..but I have really blotchy skin with redness..and without just a light bit of foundation and pressed powder I am a scarey site sadly. I don't go crazy with the makeup. I do have a "full face" done (foundation, a light blush, eye makeup and a lightly tinted lip gloss or chap stick) but i don't appear clown like..or like I'm done up for a night on the town.

I wear make-up, although nothing heavy. Mascara, liner, blush.

Otherwise, everyone asks "are you feeling OK?"

Plus, I am single and you never know when some eligible fellows will be around!

I press my scrubs too, alot of people think that is weird nowadays.

I iron my scrubs too. I have found that spraying my scrubs with starch and tossing them in the dryer works. But yeah, nothing beats a good ol' ironing.

I most definitely do, heck I even put curls in my hair. Even the day shift nurses at change of shift comment that I look like I just clocked in. Love looking good while doing a good job ;)

I started studying for my BSN straight out of high school so my skin is still rather teenagery lol A tad oily, get the odd spot but no wrinkles! lol My hair is always neat and tidy and I too iron my uniform, of course you have to look presentable, clean, neat and tidy lol! As a student if I looked scruffy ( which I wouldnt anyways) but if I did, I'd get into trouble. Oh and I haven't tried a tinted moisturiser..... its good I take it?

i almost never wear makeup of any kind for anything. then again, even though i'm 60 people tell me i have beautiful skin; credit to my half-mexican grandmother who had no wrinkles until she was in her 80s. of course, my anglo grandmother had a face like a goodyear tire, but she smoked like a chimney, and we all know smoking is very bad for your skin.

chapstick in the wintah when it's cooooold and dry.

Yes, I always wear it to work and try to put it on before I leave the house to go anywhere. even the mail box. To work I wear foundation, coverup, dark circle concealer (never thought these would be so bad in my EARLY 20S), lip gloss, lip stain, eyeshadow and eyeliner(neutral browns), and mascara.

10 minutes:eek:. It takes me 10minutes or more for the makeup alone. Is your hair short or already looks done after just b eign washed? lucky you!

Usually only eyeliner, mascara and a little blush because. I have a pretty good tan so just like a little boost on the cheeks. I wear chaptstick or lip gloss because I can't stand dry feelings lips. Once in a great while if I am feeling "saucy" I will do eyeshadow.
