So, I said I would start this one after orientation so we could all have one thread to talk about things under instead of 10. What did everyone think of orientation? Any un-answered questions? And what start date is everyone requesting? Yay for the new uniforms/prices!

American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers Course Completion Card valid for two years

In the classroom, students engage in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

I did not sign up for the BLS, because I am not sure when to take it yet. I do not think I am starting in August, so I think I should wait until I get my letter? What do you think? That way it will not expire before I even need it.

I'm signed up at Henery Ford on 19 mile on July 17. There were still openings in that session last time I checked. It would be nice to have a fellow nursing student take the class with me! Just a thought:)

This is the link for the class. There is a form you can download for registration and mail in with your payment.

It does last for 2 years, it's the same instructor & class that the others posted about.

OMG, I had ------ for micro in the summer from 8-12 He was so boring I could hardly stay awake. He is very smart though he really knows his stuff, but at 8:00 am Monday thru Thursday who cares. LOL

Zhockeymom77 and I took that BLS class yesterday, and there were 2 instructors. We had Kevin, and he was VERY nice, easy going, and he knew what he was talking about. I highly recommend him if you have a choice.

586-726-2587 - Thats the number I called. They'll let you know what days they offer it (and it sounds like there's one on July 17th?) - it was $55, and you can pay over the phone with a credit card.
