Hello,
I'm new to this site and I plan on applying for Macomb's nursing program Feb, 2017!
I would love to hear from anyone else applying. I'm very nervous and excited.
Hi Kristen! Macomb is so much more cost effective than Chamberlain. I'm not sure what your gpa or HESI score is, but everybody who had posted on here sounds like they have a good chance. I would personally hold out and get the more cost effective degree. If your finances allow you to afford more, Chamberlain seems like it has a decent program. I have a friend who is almost finished at Chamberlain and she really likes it. Just complains it costs so much!
I'm applying with a 3.50 and a 92 on the HESI! I'm right there with you. I figured I'd get January at the earliest based on people who have posted on here. I wanted to do the Accelerated BSN at OU, but I can't take out any more loans for school. Macomb is my only option.
I've spoken with my adviser up and down about the MSU program and none of the stuff you guys mentioned has ever come up (my adviser is my aunt so I doubt she left it out). I may have also satisfied some of those required classes given the fact that I am an EMT but I don't know for sure. I would wait and see if you get in and sign up for the summer classes for stuff that you will need if you're on a tight budget like myself. They will go over everything in the orientation.

I think you have to have a WHES-2070 to transfer to MSU for their RN to BSN program. You may be right about them removing it from the requirements. I have two small kids (ages 5 and 2) so I really wanted to be fluent in First Aid and CPR. I have a 200 level Philosophy Course from University of West FL, so it might suffice for the Ethics requirement. I need to meet with an advisor and get a definitive answer. If it does not, I will have to take either Comparative Religions or PHIL-2100 toward graduation.
