Macomb Community College 2017

Published

Hello,

I'm new to this site and I plan on applying for Macomb's nursing program Feb, 2017!

I would love to hear from anyone else applying. I'm very nervous and excited.

Me too! I've been waiting for weeks now!

hi guys, im appyling to macomb nursing program this year with sadly a very low gpa:( a 2.9 at best. im hoping to do extremely well on my hesi, probably 94 or above. is there really any hope for me? or should i give up at this point? i am a great student but anatomy and physiology has put me behind. i have retaken it quite a few times and cannot get above a c+:( i feel extremely discouraged.

First thing is first, you should try and understand why you're not getting a good grade in Anatomy and Physiology. Are you sleeping before exams, are you taking notes, are you working 40 hours a week and also going to school, are you actually studying the material, are you seeking out help where you need it. Asking questions like these will help you figure out why you aren't achieving.

I would say keep trying, but I'd just like to be 100% honest here when I tell you this. If you're giving it your 100% best effort to understand the human body in Anatomy and Physiology and the best you can manage is a C+ do you really think healthcare is a work field you should pursue? This stuff never goes away, and if you don't understand how the human body works how can you correct what is going wrong with them as a nurse. Again, I'm not trying to be mean, I just want to be 100% real and honest with you.

Hey everyone! I am an alternate and just wanted to see if there were any other alternates out here and if you guys know of anyone dropping due to other programs!!

Hi i was wondering what was your gpa and score when you applied? I'm applying for the 2018 program and I'm so nervous since everyone has such high scores.

@ Linnn_796: This is late, as i was skimming through hypothetical situations that might pop up in my future. But, don't worry about pompous people that all feel the need to state the fact that they did adequately, or better. This serves as a reminder to always be humble, and if i do as well, or the same, I won't ever feel the need to be audaciously upfront about how good i thought my scores were. That being said, don't worry about it and keep your head up!
