Hello everyone,
I thought I would open a new template for those who are applying for MCC's Nursing program for the 2020 admissions cycle. This should help anyone with questions or concerns regarding the application process or even HESI related tips. Good luck to all applicants this cycle!?
There is a group already. I’ll leave the link below:

I have a quick question,
During mcc nursing program, will they provide the basic BLS, ACLS, CPR, etc certifications? Or must we achieve these traits on our own time?
Thanks!
Hello,
When I was reviewing the course material, I didn’t see that they provide the courses for the students. You will want your BLS certification, which covers CPR and AED training. ACLS is not required for the program. You can access the nursing student handbook online for more information on everything that you’ll need.

Hello,
I called the school yesterday and they’re still working, even with classes being cancelled. I had the same concerns. I intend to call every week to alleviate my worries, and if anything changes, I’ll post about it.
Hey everyone,
My dad works at macomb and said he received an email saying that no staff are currently working on campus and that most of the buildings at macomb are closed and staff are working from home. Does anyone know anything about this and how it will affect when we receive the decision letters? Do you know if they're working from home on admissions? Thanks!

I sent an E-Mail to admissions and I am waiting for a response. When you call they do state staff is working from home as well and can still be reached by E-Mail. We’ll see! I’ll let you know.

They never release that information. But on average I was told they have between 3-4 applicants for each of the 160 seats in the program. The biggest variable is not the number of applicants but rather grades and test scores from this pool of applicants. It’s entirely possible to get in with those scores if you fall into the top 168. Typically the 8 “runners up” can get a seat in the program because every year about that many accepted students back out for one reason or another. It really just depends on the grades and HESI scores and where you fall in the ranks. Keep faith. We will all know soon enough.
