Macomb Community College - 2020 Nursing Application Cycle

I was wondering the same thing, I have not received anything yet with my official GPA and HESI score. The only email I have received so far is a confirmation email that they received all the documents to complete my application. Do they email the official scores or do they mail it?

I recant my former reply. I misunderstood—we won’t receive the E-Mail with the official GPA and HESI score until a few weeks before we receive the acceptance/denial letters.

Does anyone know the timeline of when they typically decide who gets into the program? Is it in late March/early April?

Well, it could be as late as May. It seems that the previous years found out in late April, however.

Late April. Although the application cut off was pushed up to 2/1/2020. It used to be mid April for the application cut off. So hopefully the admissions letters will go out no later than mid-April. Did everyone get their letter stating that they received your application and all your documents are in order? You should have gotten that by email. Actual acceptance letter will be mailed by snail mail.

I also received the letter by email that states all documents are checked. Approx 3 month wait from 2/1/20
Now we wait for the big letter/s.
Early May I’m guessing. Let’s be busy, it will come faster!

When did you get an email stating all documents were checked? I only have the one saying my application was submitted. Did everyone else get another email??

Does anyone know how they calculate gpa and hesi score to get your rank?
My hesi score wasn’t that great (80) but I got a 3.7 gpa. I’m trying to be optimistic ?

You mulitply your gpa by 25. Add your hesi score and divide by 2. So 3.7 x 25 + 80... Whatever that number is you divide by 2.

GPA is weighted at 50% of the value for ranking and same thing for the HESI. Multiply your grade by 25 to put it on a 100 system. So your GPA is the equivalent of 92.5. Take 50% of each score and add them together. You never know what the pool of applicants will be this year. Stay optimistic

I received my E-Mail on the 17th. I don’t think everybody receives their E-Mail at the same time. You should call the selective admissions office to make sure they have all your documentation.

Hi everyone! I applied with a 3.85 GPA & a 72 hesi score. ? (Terrible) I ran out of time & of course had a major headache that day. Does anyone know how many people applied this year?
