Hi I am currently on the waiting list for the Lvn program at Nctc, Gainsville,Tx. We have orientation on Thurs. Dec. 4th, and I have been told that almost everyone on the waiting list usually gets into the program. So I am very excited to go to oreintation to see if I get accepted. Has anyone ever been in the Lvn program at NCTC? What can I expect?

I have a question for the other people starting the traditional classes on Jan. 20... since it is a Tuesday, thus a "clinical day" we are supposed to wear white, right? I think they said something like that during orientation, but I need some reassurance!

I would be mortified if I walk in the first day wearing the wrong thing!!! :imbar

I start on Jan 20 too, and I believe we do not have to wear white until clinicals actual start.

You only wear your whites when you go to clinicals. If you're in class, just wear khaki's.

I just bought my books, and they were A LOT more expensive than I had anticipated!! Anyone else figuring this out the hard way?

Ummm yeah...and I'm sure we wont use all the books. When I got home I opened the med math and started to study.

They were more expensive than I thought. And they didnt have the syllabys or handbooks yet.

I am also looking for a online LVN program? Is it good? will we get full knowledge from an online school? what about clinicals?

is there anybody who had been to online lvn program from nctc, and got a job after getting certification? How was the program?

I am looking into the Jan 2010 Online class, anyone on here in the online class? How is it? Do you feel like your getting enough hands on training? I am getting my CNA and Phlebotomy this semester so atleast I have some knowledge going into the program, plus I have already taken Medical Terminology. Anyways, I was just wanted some feedback on their online program.

I'm applying to the Jan 2010 Online LVN program. It works great with my work schedule. There are minimal slots available but I'm praying for the best.
