Lvn @ Nctc

Published

Hi I am currently on the waiting list for the Lvn program at Nctc, Gainsville,Tx. We have orientation on Thurs. Dec. 4th, and I have been told that almost everyone on the waiting list usually gets into the program. So I am very excited to go to oreintation to see if I get accepted. Has anyone ever been in the Lvn program at NCTC? What can I expect?

I lied! We do get our IV certification. We get it at graduation!

would you be up to selling you books to me?

Ahh, I wish I would have heard from you before. I just sold them!! Also, they're using a lot of different books now compared to when I started. Did they give you the book list yet? I suggest going to half.com and buying them online. They are much cheaper! I do have some patches and my uniforms if you're interested in those. I'm very interested in seeing how the online class goes. Keep me updated!

When do you graduate? I found some one that will sell their books but I want to make sure they are the correct books.

I graduate today. Check their books against the book list you were given.

Congrats Cjshelton56!!!!! :nurse:

And CONGRATS:yeah:...what will you do with your first paycheck?:)

Graduated in the spring,

Get some of the study material from past classes, a lot of the test material is repeated from previous classes.

Get a group going with your class mates, those who try to go it alone, often fail

Call the Texas work force, 75% of my class had their costs covered by them , tuition , books , tests , scrubs , shoes ,car repairs , mileage to and from school and clinical, and much more.

75% of the battle is persevering and enduring to the end and not giving up

Good program, 100% of our class passed nclex on the first try

That is an awsome that a 100% pass rate on nclex test. Thanks for the info on aid with school. Congrats on graduating in the spring.

KenH...did you work while in school... I was wondering because I called Texas Work Force and I

was told since I work I would not be able to get aid.

i did not get any help and i worked weekends made to much $$

i know many who worked and got help

i would go down and talk to them in person at the Sherman office

find out what the rules are and make them work for you

one student was working at a bank , quite her job , qualified , then got a job as a care aid through work force that its wages would not count as income. while she was in school

good luck
