Hi everyone! I haven't seen a thread yet for the new grad residency program at Lurie Children's for the August/October 2022 start dates. Has anyone that's applied heard anything yet?

Hi!! I applied and did some digging on previous years threads and it seems like it will be a couple weeks before we hear anything back...It seemed like they got back to people 2-3 weeks after the application closed. I also just called HR and the woman I talked to said that they will likely start sending out offers next week or the week of memorial day weekend! My fingers are crossed but I honestly don't really know what they are looking for so it should be interesting!

Hi! Thanks, that's good to hear! I was getting worried since I submitted my application the day after it was posted and hadn't heard anything. I looked back through old threads too and it definitely seems that way, I didn't know if it would be any different given that 2020/21 had other circumstances. Did HR mention anything about when interviews might be or just that they would be contacting people in the next couple of weeks for interviews? Thanks again!

Just that they would be contacting people in the next couple weeks! I know in previous years they had told people something along the lines of "if you don't hear back by this date you won't get it" but I did not hear anything like that when I called. Sorry, I know that isn't that helpful.

Hi! These are the two units I applied to and I haven’t heard anything. My application still says “Application Reviewed.” Not really sure what that means at this point, but hopefully they haven’t finished contacting people!

I applied PICU and med/surg and have not heard anything back! The only person I know of who has heard back was for the At Home Kids specialty…I am hoping they’re still sending things out! Good luck to you!

I applied to NICU and PICU- haven’t heard back! But know someone who applied to the ED and heard back!
