Lurie Children's New Grad Residency 2022

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hi everyone! I haven't seen a thread yet for the new grad residency program at Lurie Children's for the August/October 2022 start dates. Has anyone that's applied heard anything yet?

Has anyone heard back for offers on the neuro/endo floor LOL?

Does anyone know how many PICU spots they took? Did they already offer to everyone on the 15th or are they offering this week as well, I've heard both?

I interviewed with PICU and haven’t heard back at all. As far as spots, I looked on social media and it looked like they hire about 10-15 per cohort. So if they interviewed 40, I imagine they narrowed it down to half. But keep in mind, externals are at a disadvantage.

Anyone get an offer? ?

I’m starting in NICU in October! Anyone else there?

I’m pretty sure all NICU and CCU offers were sent out last week but they could still be getting to people!

Hi, I heard back from the PICU on the 16th  I believe with an informal offer, then got an official offer from HR the following week. Unfortunately due to certain factors I had to decline the the offer :/. But hopefully that opened up a spot for someone else. I hope you hear back soon!

I also heard back from the PICU on the 16th for an informal offer, then received the official letter and accepted. I was an external with tech experience and did lots of extra-curriculars/leadership in college. Best of luck to all and I hope everything works out!

Hi all! Just wanted to update you guys. I thought I was completely out of the running... BUT I received an offer from HR this morning for the PICU October cohort!! If you hadn't heard back yet I suggest following up and letting them know you're interested in October (if you're willing to wait). Best of luck!! STAY HOPEFUL

Hi everyone!
I am going to be graduating at the end of this year and Lurie Children's has always been where I've wanted to work. I was wondering if anyone reached out to the RN recruiter before applying to the residency?

Also, can you apply to the "Registered Nurse - Intern" jobs that they have posted as a new grad? The application dates are not posted yet for 2023 so I was hoping I'd be able to apply to any job posting they have that does not require previous RN experience.

Thank you in advance!

Specializes in 2024 Grad looking to get into a residency program!.

Hello everyone! I am looking to get into a new grad residency when I graduate in May of 2024! I had my eye on Chicago. When I was doing my research I was a little confused on the application process & the dates. Could someone explain their application process so I could gain better understanding? Thank you!
