  1. I’m starting in NICU in October! Anyone else there? I’m pretty sure all NICU and CCU offers were sent out last week but they could still be getting to people!
  2. Could Could anyone that's had an interview shed light on what the critical thinking assessment includes? I haven't had an interview where that was included so I'm not sure what to expect!
  3. I never heard back for an interview, unfortunately. Best of luck to everyone that has!
  4. I listed NICU and CCU as my top two choices. I am definitely open to a few other units but didn’t see any way to convey that on the application. I had my senior capstone in the NICU and adult CICU, so I was hopeful for an interview based on that and other experience, but I guess we’ll see! It seems a little less likely now if they’ve already started interviewing people for both of those units and I haven’t heard anything.
  5. Congrats, I hope you get the offer!! Maybe it’s department specific then? I wish recruiters would be more consistent with the information at least. So you were considered an external applicant?
  6. Do you know if any of the interviewees were out of state? I was just told by a recruiter today that no department had started interviewing external applicants yet so now I’m more confused ?
  7. Hi everyone! I just talked to a recruiter today who said there were several hundred applicants they were still sorting thorugh. They haven't begun to look at external applicants yet, only internal, and departments fill up spots with internal applicants first. They said if you are an external applicant it would probably be at least a couple more weeks at minimum before being contacted for an interview. They said that departments reach out individually to people to set up an interview and the timeline for those is somewhat department specific. Basically, if you haven't heard back yet, it's not a no, they just have a large volume of applications to review and pass on to department managers. Hope that's helpful! The recruiter I spoke to said for the residency program that local applicants are asked to come in person for a final interview and they can offer out-of-state applicants a virtual interview.
  8. Hi! These are the two units I applied to and I haven’t heard anything. My application still says “Application Reviewed.” Not really sure what that means at this point, but hopefully they haven’t finished contacting people!
  9. No, that’s helpful, thank you! I haven’t heard anything this week, have you?
  10. Hi! Thanks, that's good to hear! I was getting worried since I submitted my application the day after it was posted and hadn't heard anything. I looked back through old threads too and it definitely seems that way, I didn't know if it would be any different given that 2020/21 had other circumstances. Did HR mention anything about when interviews might be or just that they would be contacting people in the next couple of weeks for interviews? Thanks again!
  11. Hi everyone! I haven't seen a thread yet for the new grad residency program at Lurie Children's for the August/October 2022 start dates. Has anyone that's applied heard anything yet?
