Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital New Grad RN Residency- Fall 2020

Nurses Career Support

Hi! Does anyone know if LPCH will still be opening up their new grad app for the Fall 2020 cohort or if it will be delayed due to the pandemic? I know the app should be opening up in April but their website still has the info from the past cohort period.

Do you think it's okay if I integrate their clinical hours table in my resume, or should I upload it as a separate file? Thanks.

Hi I actually had the same question and asked someone in HR. They said they would rather have you submit the clinical hours table separately rather than have it on your resume.

Where is everyone applying?!?! Also is anyone else applying to acute care float?

Under which "attachment type" are we supposed to post the Clinical Hours Table?

Is anyone putting ------------------------- as the addressee in the cover letter? Or what are you going with?

does it look bad to withdraw and re-submit your application? I've done it 3 times because I keep switching my second choice unit ?

@californiaRN2020 There isn't any specific attachment. Label it Clinical Hours Table and attach it under personal reference

Hello, I have a couple questions regarding the LPCH application:

1) I have a some "licenses and certificates" that are listed in my resume....do I also put them under this section in the application? I have quite a few that are related to unit I'm applying, as well as ACLS, BLS, etc.....just wondering if people are also inputing all this info in the app if it's already listed in your resume.

2) Who are you addressing the cover letter to? Mine just says "LPCH New Grad Hiring team"....is this OK?

3) under preferences, the options are locations not specialties....where do we input our specialty choices?

4) if we have more than one personal reference (not letter), do we just upload a doc with their name, title and phone number under "personal references"?

to answer your questions

1) yes, list your licenses/certificates in the application itself

2) I address all my cover letters "to whom it may concern" unless they say otherwise. also side note, Do not abbreviate LPCH until you have fully spelled out Lucile Packard Children's Hospital out in your letter.

3) what do you mean by inputing your specialty choice? you apply for a unit

4) personally I only include personal references information when asked

So just to be clear, you didn't include any clinical rotations in your resume? You just filled out the table as a separate document and left your resume for education/certifications/volunteering/work history?
