Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital New Grad RN Residency- Fall 2020

Published

Hi! Does anyone know if LPCH will still be opening up their new grad app for the Fall 2020 cohort or if it will be delayed due to the pandemic? I know the app should be opening up in April but their website still has the info from the past cohort period.

Thank you so much!

So I'm seeing they want a few documents (letters of rec, cover letter, resume, clinical hours sheet, transcript)

- but the only place to upload something is the resume spot. Did you guys just merge everything into one PDF?

HI..amar2

After you submit your application using just the resume. Go back to my My Job applications. Attach the remaining files under My Cover Letters and Attachments.

Hello! I'm wondering what the application process is - do we apply for 2 units, indicating or first and second choice? Do we use the same cover letter for both? Or we do apply separately to 2 different units? Or can we apply to more than 2?

Thank you!

Hi Plantgirl123

You only need one cover letter. You just need to specify on the cover letter which unit is your first and second choice. You will also get the opportunity of picking up your first and second choice unit when filling the online application.

so my first choice is heme onc.... but is anyone else applying to float pool or know what its like?! I am not sure if I should apply to that or the unit I had my preceptorship in for my second choice (PICU)

So for letters of recommendation, we are having people send them to us and we are uploading them ourselves under the attachment section?

Very Good, did you get to upload the clinical hour's table as well?

@deroxxy I did. I ended up labeling it as a "personal recommendation," however, because there wasn't an applicable label. But I made it very clear in my resume that my clinical hours were in an attached document titled "clinical hours table."

@amar2 Very good. I did the same thing too. I wish you all the best of luck. We have a long way to go.?

Do you think it's okay if I integrate their clinical hours table in my resume, or should I upload it as a separate file? Thanks.

@RN885, BSN, RN Although you have your clinical hours incorporated into your resume, I will advise you to attach it as a separate file just so you can adhere to the application requirement.
