LPN's WHO'S GOING FOR RN????

I'm a LPN currently in my first semester of a one year RN transition program. I'm not finding it to be too difficult at this point, but we are just expounding on material we've already been taught in LPN school, with a few new procedures.

I AM!!!!! I enjoy being an LPN.I have been an LPN for a little over a year now, however i want to do more and with more education i know i will be able to. I am doing LPN to RN-BSN here at a local universtiy(not online). I have 1 year and a semester to go, It is not to difficult yet just time consuming. I work every weekend 12 hour shifts. So it can be done! Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do.

I've been an LPN/LVN since early 2006.

I'm currently attending an LPN-to-RN transition program and will graduate in a few months. So far, the RN program has actually been slightly easier than the LPN program.

You'll acquire the majority of your basic knowledge and skills in the LPN program. However, you'll learn a new way of thinking, interpreting, approaching situations, and applying the previous information while in the RN program. You'll also learn some more content related to pathophysiology and leadership.

I want to go to school where you guys do. Maybe its just our school but our RN year so far has been sooooooo much harder than our LPN year. LPN year was a horse of a different color with learning how to critical think and a new way to study etc., but this RN year is a whole dang FARM of a different color. Currently I'm a strong B average but man am I fighting for that. Seems to me that RN year is so much more detail, yes its just expanding on what you already know but it might as well be completely new material with the depth we go into.

I start the LVN to RN program at Lee College on 10-29-09. It's been a while since I have been in school. Has anyone taken this program, and if so, any suggestions??

I recently graduated LPN, passed the NCLEX and have applied to LPN-RN transition program that starts in May. I'll be done in 3 semesters, then its 1.5 yrs to get BSN for me. Hope I get accepted! I ran down there as soon as my license popped up online. I have one more pre-req to complete in the winter session.

I'm completing my last semester of prerequisites and I will be applying for fall 2010. I will go to any school that will take me. I'm anxious to get my RN and move forward with my career in nursing.

I'm a new grad working LPN I can't wait to go back for my RN !!! My goal is to start the program next spring. I still got 4 more prereqs to take.

I started the LPN program in December of 2007 and am almost finished with the 3rd semester in the RN program. It is a bridge program and takes 26 months to complete. I can't believe that the 4th semester starts December 3rd. We will graduate March 30th, 2010. I found the RN program easier in some ways because you already had a background. When I started the LPN program I didn't know a thing about medical terminology, anatomy etc. Good luck to everyone that is pursuing their RN! All of our hard work will pay off one day!
