Nurses LPN/LVN

Published

My brother just finished up his LPN school a few months ago, he got hired here in the metro detroit area in MI for $26.50 starting.

I am attending the same school he went to, I am half way done and will be graduating in 9 months I was hoping people in other states could help me guide my search for high-paying LPN cities in different states.

In las vegas i just got a lpn new grad imc position for 28.75 an hour...were a high demand area for nurses......i have fellow grads who are making similar in subacute facilities and hospice centers.

Thanks for posting this. Vegas is on my wishlist. Do you have any suggestions what hospitals/companies to apply for?

I am near chicago. Il

I was a medical assistant prior to becoming an LVN- I maxed out at $24.50. Since becoming an LVN (3yrs ago) I'm making $34 with benefits and then I am per diem at an LTC and make $29 per hour( with no benefits) I'm in Sacramento.

I live in New Hampshire, and just the other day I saw a job post for a full-time LPN, benefits, starting at $23-$25 an hour depending on experience.

Specializes in geriatrics, cardiac.

$24 thru $28 DOLLARS an HR for LPN'S also here in South New Jersey some states give LPN's CNA pay glad I live in NJ:lol2:

Hi,

I work as a private duty nurse and make 23.20 for one patient, full time, M - F 8-4....:I guess I'm pretty lucky from what I just read... I work an hr from Buffalo NY

Maybe you should move to Michigan. The pay rate is much higher for the LVNs.

Any idea of going pay rate in Georgia? I'm going to relocate there once I finish school

I got $22 back in 1996 here in NY, now they pay me $28 as of 2009 with benefits.

If you don't mind me asking where do you work?

Specializes in ltc, rehab, home health.

That's about what it is here in NJ. If you can find a job. lol
