I thought we were supposed to have the second one done... Ugh, I am definitely feeling stressed out now! I called ------------- to ask during my break but was told that she stepped out of the office. By the time I got out, the office was closed. I'm going to call first thing in the morning tomorrow.

I've been under the impression that it was the second vaccine... Anyone else out there know?

I'm going to look into the website! Thanks for letting me know :)

Like you, I will also be taking public transportation. I'm only one or two buses away depending on which route I take. I wouldn't mind driving but it's too many streets that I have to take! How long would it take for you to get there on the bus/train?

Well even if you go this week and get it done it's only a month for the next one.. When does the semester start?? You should have time!!

I got my hep b done today, tb and my tdap. I get the 2nd hep b in a month on August 14th. They also did my titers today. I think the only other vaccines that I will need are the varicella, because I have never had the chicken pox and tetorifice.

I would definitely try calling again tomorrow for clarification.

It would take about an hour and 15 mins on the bus. I have to take two buses, which isn't bad.

Questions to you all:

-What happens if you don't get the second vaccine of the Hepatitis B series done by the time we start school? I am currently working on getting it done but my doctor has been booked and was only able to make an appointment until late this week. I recall that ----------- said that we will not be able to participate in the program for this semester if we don't get the second Hep. B vaccine by the time school starts, correct?

- In case all else fails at my doctor's office and am unable to get my titers results quick enough, how do we go about getting all our titers/vaccines through health services?

- I remember ------------------- said that she suggests we don't get a fancy stethoscope so what kind did you all get?

You will be fine if you get in this week for your hep b. The next one will be in a month, which is right before we start. Try not to stress, everything will work out :)

Did you get this done through health services or through your private doctor?

I really hope so smylee! I'm kind of freaking out.. I don't want a shot to be the thing that holds me back from beginning.

Ugh, why does medical insurance have to get so technical? LOL.

I am definitely calling tomorrow though.

Mines takes about 45 minutes, which I am totally okay with... gives me time to study.

I did mine through my private doctor. I was having a difficult time, because my primary care doctor doesn't do vaccinations (HMO plan). I ended up using my husband's PPO plan and choosing a different provider to get it done through. I was getting frustrated, because I took time off of work originally to get things done and my HMO plan was making things complicated. Thank God I was able to get it done yesterday.

No, I did not receive confirmation. I had to call to confirm that they received everything. Points you calculate yourself and if you want to make sure the points you have calculated for yourself are accurate, you can call to confirm with them.

Did you call and confirm? I was going to wait until after the app period to cal and confirm my points. They received my app on Saturday but was going to wait until weds to confirm they received it. I'm so nervous about my high school transcripts!!!
