Los Angeles County of Nursing - Fall 2014

This is for those of us that will be applying to LA county college of nursing and allied health's fall 2014 semester. I will be submitting my application for the basic RN program tomorrow... Yayyy!!! I am beyond excited, I can't believe this time has finally come!

So many have received acceptances to other schools already. I just wanted to check-in and see who is still waiting for County with me? :)

Good morning, I am waiting too. I called this morning and spoke with someone. I asked her if they would be sending out rejection letters as well as acceptance letters this week. She said that they still are making their selections and that both rejection and acceptance letters will go out this week. Hope this helps. I'm praying and still have hope. Good luck to all that are already accepted. Enjoy it!!

Hi Dragonfly, No I haven't called them. Reason being, I know that they will tell me one thing and do another, so in order prevent frustration, I decided that I would not call them. I will just wait and see what happens. They always give false timelines, one week usually means 2-3 weeks for county :) So, I try to just wait patiently.

Were they referring to the LVN-RN program when they gave that information? I really don't see them sending out notification this week for the basic RN program. It would be a miracle if they were actually on time this year :) But given their track record from previous semesters, I have not seen one post where they sent fall acceptances on time.

You applied to the LVN-RN program, right? I'm hoping and praying that you receive your acceptance this week! How many points do you have? I can't remember what the cut is...I think 82. I always wonder what takes them so long to make decisions...I wish I knew exactly how their whole process worked. It would make it so much easier for us applicants that are waiting to find out.

I wish I had your patient)) I just called them.. just to see what they will tell me. She was like: " At this time we are going through the process, so... call back to check with us in a week or t.... I think, yeah, maybe call back in a week."

LOL...yeah, it sounds like they are getting annoyed with all of the phone calls; however, if they did things on time, they wouldn't be getting so many phone calls :yes:

Totally agree with you! Guys I think County is my last hope. I am an alternate in LA City College. LA Pierce College sent acceptance emails today, and some people got an email that they're alternate. I didn't even got rejection email. Valley College will tell us in July.
