Los Angeles City College-Fall 2014 Applicants

U.S.A. California

Hello future nurses!

I am starting this new thread for everybody that is planning to apply to LACC's nursing program for Fall 2014. How many of you are planning to apply for Fall 2014? I'll be finishing my last prerequisite (chemistry) this winter and hope to apply in February. Good luck to us all!

I don't think we will be getting anymore calls from the nursing dept unless there is something missing in your package. Next step would be the boot camp. I hope to see you at the boot camp :-)

Okay see you soon.. Keep in contact

Does anyone know when we are expected to graduate? The is asking for a specific date.

You really don't have to know the specific date, we cannot possibly know our graduation date two years from now. You just choose an arbitrary date, somewhere in mid June of 2016, any date you like :-), how about June 16 2016

Hi... Im plan to take nursing career but i have not start the program yet, i event havent take the pre reqs, is it long wait to get in the program once i finish my pre reqs, or should i take lvn and bridge to rn? Coz i really prefer the fast way. Thanks

It depends on the school you are planning on attending.. For example lacc does not have a waiting program they have a lottery. Which means once you meet all their requirements you will be placed in a pool of other students who have also completed the same requirements and will be selected randomly and I think the students with the numbers between I believe 1-40 will be accepted to the program the others will be placed on an alternate list and if someone gives up their position or under other circumstances have for fitted their position then students on the alternate list will be placed in their position.. But after that semester begins the list is over and students will have to apply again.. The trick is to apply to more than one school to increase your chances of getting accepted to at least one program.First you need to figure out what school you what to go to and do your research on what their requirements are and go from there.. Keep in mind things are changing so you might want to get started on that ASAP! I hope that helps :)

In need of help and really worried. I have a problem because I recently just got the vaccine that i needed but my doctor said I won't be able to get a titer for a month so it won't show up false results. Did anyone else have any problems with this? I'm hoping since I already took the vaccine maybe I can give the titers as soon as I can take them

I am staring my RN in College of the canyon and had the same issue. They simply set up a dead line for my titer to be done. They should do the same for you
