Hello future nurses!

I am starting this new thread for everybody that is planning to apply to LACC's nursing program for Fall 2014. How many of you are planning to apply for Fall 2014? I'll be finishing my last prerequisite (chemistry) this winter and hope to apply in February. Good luck to us all!

Does anyone know if there is a specific room we meet in for our boot camp in August?

I have not heard anything as well! I can't believe orientation is so late considering we have 2-3 weeks after that and then school starts already. I feel so clueless. Do we register for classes during orientation then?

There is nothing to hear after you submitted the packages. It is all done. And the boot camp in August is more than just an orientation, it is an introduction into the nursing and clinicals; and why would you need more than three weeks after the boot camp to start and prepare for the program?! We will not register for classes, they will register our classes for us, we will get the list of books at the book camp, you purchase the books and uniforms, and that's that.

As far as the room number goes, they told me that the room number will be posted in front of the nursing department during the boot camp. So we should all go to the nursing dept on Monday/August 11, to see the room number where everything will take place.

Thanks for the feedback! You've been great responding to everybody responses here! Haha. I was just a bit nervous and worried to not get that much updates and announcements from LACC. I'm so used to being updated with news from past schools I've attended. See you all at bootcamp! =)
