Phlebotomy is a certificate level position and would not pay what you are used to making.

You do not specify what kind of degree you have. With two years of nursing and a BSN, you could branch into case management, clinic nursing, community nursing and other types of nursing care. Agency nursing means you have acute care experience, which is very valuable. With case management, you could work in a hospital or you could explore working from home with an insurance company. Some mail-in pharmacies also have nursing positions.

Being a pharmaceutical rep is a very in-demand job and usually requires an advance degree, some sales/marketing acumen and the ability to understand business dealings. Those jobs are lucrative and hard to get, but you certainly could look into it.

Thank you. I have a BSC in General Nursing. I have never heard of case management but will look into this. There is very little guidance for nurses when qualified in relation to career progression or different pathways to take.

You don't necessarily have to leave nursing. For ex, if you have OR experience you can become a scheduler, or look into telemedicine companies. Best of luck with whatever you choose.

Thank you chocholic1. I have never been that happy on the ward settings. My friend has mentioned Nurse Lecturing so I will have to research into that. I have never heard of a scheduler before.

Triage nursing. Some insurance companies have patient help lines where patient's call for advice. Some nurses work responding to patient calls in different physician practice settings. This is by no means a fun job, but it pays the bills.
