I would like to know if anyone know of LPN classes offered in NYC. I would like to take the classes, however I have been having some difficult time locating an LPN school in NYC. Thanks in advance.
Hi,
I live in Westchester NY. I went to Westchester Community College. They have an awesome LPN program. Although I am an RN, several people I know went to the LPN program. It's not too expensive, but you need to take an entrance exam. Any community college would probably be good, if WCC is not convenient.
Hope that helps. Carleah
Right now there are 12 LPN schools in NY. Check out the website listing them all at office of the professions ny education department. There is the NYC Department of ed. they've already tested and selected for this year and reopen admission at the end of the year. Likewise for most of the other schools. Check the website I mentioned and call the schools to find out when applications are due. there are the Cuny programs- there may be time to apply to them for September and there is always NJ. Some schools there start quarterly. Check out Lincoln Tech and Merit Tech. Lots of pople go from NYC to these schools in jersey if they can work out the travel.Best of luck!
The only one I can think of is Rockland Community College. It's off exist 14B of thruway 87. So I don't know if you are willing to travel that far. I know some people communite from bklyn.
They have open enrollment so you might want to give them a call & find out. In the mean time you can always take some preq in the fall.
Hope this help.

Hi there! I saw that you got accepted to LaGuardia Nursing program 2 years ago. I am considering going to LaGuardia's Nursing program and would like personal thoughts on the school. How did it go. What did you think of the program? Were you accepted quickly? Was it hard? What was easy about it? Do graduates of the school get hired quickly?
I hope to hear from you. I don't know if you are still on this board after two years!
