I would like to know if anyone know of LPN classes offered in NYC. I would like to take the classes, however I have been having some difficult time locating an LPN school in NYC. Thanks in advance.

nys nursing programs Updated 5/2014
the professional education program review unit in the office of the professions has the responsibility for registering nursing education programs within new york state. the registration of a program means that it has met the department's standards for accreditation as provided in the rules of the board of regents and the regulations of the commissioner of education. programs are arranged by region within the listings.
thank you so much for the information.

8/24/06: from their website: c-net is a full-service testing company incorporated in new jersey
this facility is a testing company only. unable to offer any nursing courses for lpn program as not on ny stated approved school list (see approved programs post # 2.
totally unnecessary for anyone to take this company's pre test. LPN programs all require you to take their pre-entrance test.
buyer beware. nrskaren rn

the person who gave the first post gave you an accurate website for all the LPN programs. I can reccommend Bronx community college because i go there. but beware, the couse is very very intense and if you cant take pressure, find a next school. but when ou get out, youll be an excellent nurse

Hello,
Hostos is a easy program to go to and they you only need a 2.5 to get in.
But the good thing at Bronx CC is that if you have a "B" average you can
go into there transition program.

LaGuardia Community College in Queens has an LPN program. You know if you are willing to go an extra semester, you can become an RN.

Hey girly
there is hope there is a school called the center for allied health nursing education there web site is www.cannj.com I'm checking them out as well they don't grade you by percentile they grade by percentage email me back with your thoughts about the school
until great minds meet again
microtechtraining.com in jersey offers lpn i think and so does medgar evers in brooklyn!
Center for allied health nursing education in located in Hackensack, NJ and is approved by NJ SBON. It is a new program and NCLEX pass rates were not available on 2005 list.
No microtech program approved in NY or NJ---website is search engine so removed.
EVERY approved school from NY Dept of education list, links are in post #2 above by type of program (LPN; RN: ADN, BSN, Diploma) . Please check out school to make sure approved or you will have spent $$$ and not be able to take NCLEX exam, therefore no licensure.
