  1. I don't know of any CNA class offer for cheap or free. But I notice that some of the nursing home offer training for CNA but not sure what you have to do. If you are in the city & doing CNA training. You can call Isabella nursing home. I'm not sure who the contact person is there but I'm sure they can direct you to the right person if you are interest in doing CNA. Good luck.
  2. Southern Westchester BOCES & there's a BOCES in Rockland county. Bronx: Bronx Community College & Hostos Community College Hope that helps.
  3. Depending on where you go. It can be the CNET, TEAS or other that it's require for admissions. CNET test only english (reading & spelling) & math. TEAS test you on english, math & science.
  4. The BOCES in westchester offer prep course & I believe some of the community college in the nyc might of them too. You just have to check it out.
  5. The only one I can think of is Rockland Community College. It's off exist 14B of thruway 87. So I don't know if you are willing to travel that far. I know some people communite from bklyn. They have open enrollment so you might want to give them a call & find out. In the mean time you can always take some preq in the fall. Hope this help.
  6. Thanks for your help. Good luck!!!
  7. Hi, Can someone guide me as what to put on a resume. I'll be finishing w/ school this June & want to start writing my resume. I don't have any experience in the health field & not sure if I can put my clincal rotation on my resume. What else do I need to put on my resume since my previous job is not in the health field. Any resume sample will be helpful.:)
  8. I'm not sure about the Lauguardia or how long the waiting list is. There are a few people in my group that are doing the LPN and will continue for the RN program after they work a while. Since LPN is not accredited, so you might might want to looking into if Laguardia is or not. Some school or RN program will take your LPN license & work experiences and will accept you into their program for RN so that way you don't have to repeat some of the classes. But you must maintane 85 average in all your classes plus pass their test in order to get in for the RN program. I'm working only on the weekend & sometime find it hard to find more time to study. You really have to be committed to do this to make it work. I'm in class Monday - Wed. 8:30am - 2:30pm & on Thurs. & Friday in hospital or nursing home from 8am-2pm. I find it mentally draining when I get home from school that I can't even keep my eye open to read. Tests are given just about every other week back to back. Some school offer night program for LPN but it takes 2yrs to finish & some have a long waiting list like BCC. You have to pass there test. I won't want to discourage you, just ask around & find out which will work for you. Good luck
  9. I'm attending SW BOCES now during the day program. Let me know if you any question regarding the interview process.
