U.S.A. Texas

Hi there everyone. I'm one of the 2015 hopefuls for lonestar. Just wondering if anyone has any information on application datelines for 2015 spring. The school sites don't happen to have that info(unless, I am missing something). Any info would be appreciated. Thanks and good luck to everyone.

would you say you need to really know A&P before entering the program, because while i passed both courses i feel i didn't retain or learn much and was wondering if i am gonna be behind the curve or should i retake them to actually learn?

I really wouldnt worry about knowing everything in A&P. Just keep the books you had from class handy so you could refrence things when you need too. The books i had from my A&P classes were so useful when i was studying for the HESI.

@dawno, thanks and I am very excited! I believe you would be fine with that score!..........@christian, If I remembered correctly it was 10 point something. All of us didn't apply with 11 points or better

@ christian, I agree with @scavila10. I had taken my A&P courses years before starting the program. I forgot a lot of stuff too but I kept my books and referred back to them when i needed too.

Awesome! I kept all my binders and made sure i bought all the science books because i was sure i'd need them again! I was hoping to get an "A in AP2 but i dont think that is gonna happen so im only applying with a 11.25 i am just gonna be paranoid till i get my acceptance letter...

How busy is it 1st semester?

Yep keep all your stuff! Don't give anything away until after you finish Nursing school! I think you will be fine with 11.25! First semester was busy only because everything was all new to us. It was alot of work they gave us but you would soon get use to it and it goes by extremely FAST!!!!! When they give you an assignment to do, jump on it right away! I seems like once you get behind on one thing, everything else starts to pile up quickly!

You've given me hope that I will get in with a 11.1932. I'm freaking out though.

Dawno your gonna freak out like the rest of till September/October when we finally get our answer

So what is done in the first semester?

I have a question about the clinicals, for the first semester it's once a week and it's a 12 hour day, correct? Are they stressful?

Also, how often did you study? Did you form study groups with other nursing students?

ikegrad2002...do you think you will have problems with finding a job? Are you preparing for the NCLEX now?

LOL, It's normal to freak out at this point!!!
