Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

And Kingwood still has not received the information about the books for the package. I have been calling adult and she says she has been calling the dept. Daily but no word.

Thanks for the info hikari! Krystalis were you accepted to Kingwood or Cy-fair?

thank you, I actually emailed them yesterday ( but didn't know if they'd actually get back to me)...I just got an email, it was mailed out Friday so YEAH!!!!

watching all the little duckies get in a row is thrilling ( super stoked about going back to school :D)

Hey,

First of all congratulations to everyone who got into the program! I am hoping to apply this summer for the 2015 spring semester and was wondering if anyone could possibly give me some advice or tips about the application process! Im already soo nervous and know I have a lot of work ahead of me for the next year but now that i have found a goal and direction I am ready to push forward! So here are my questions! What was the hardest part of the application process? What resources did you use to study for the HESI and when would be a good time to take it? My grade point average is very low right now because my first few semesters I had no idea which direction I wanted to go and so I stopped going to my classes and as a result used all my drops and failed a lot of my classes. I took 4 online classes last summer tho and got a 4.0 for that semester so I know that I can do just as well in my next couple semesters. When I finish the next two semesters (spring 2014 and summer 2014) if i meet me goal of a 4.0 i will have a 2.0 gpa for my total gpa but a 4.0 for my prereqs for the program so will they judge me more on my total gpa or just the gpa for the prereqs? Like I said, I know I have a lot of work ahead of me for the next year and beyond but I am ready and motivated for this commitment! Sorry for the super long post and any tips, advice, and answers will be greatly appreciated! Good luck to everyone as you start your nursing classes!

11.35...which I thought was awesome ( until I saw everyones post on here...) good enough for me :)

I just used the email on their contact us link but they got back to me in a day ( pretty good)

oh, you can live chat with them too I think

Who on here will be attending CyFair Spring 2014? I'd like to connect and work on forming study groups!

Jen1310 Don't worry about your past mistakes. I had a 1.71 and now have a 3.35. Keep all your pre-reqs at A's. There is a good pharmacology class offered at Kingwood online and an easy A! PM me for details. Remember it is not "IF" you meet your goal, it is when you meet your goal. You can and will do it!!!
