lonestar nursing 2014 hopeful

Published

Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

No. Will be doing it this week. I need someone to email me the supplies , uniform paper that we were given at orientation.

The paper from orientation said the patches need to be sewn on the left sleeve two inches from the shoulder seam. I had mine done at Master Tailors on Kingwood Dr.

So if we receive the money to the bank account it won't be there till wed or thur then??

Well not exactly....When I get my refunds from the school it always takes 2 business days to hit my account. It depends on your bank and how fast it takes for the money to come thru. I got an email around 11am this morning stating my 1000 dollars have been deposited into my account. Of course as of now the money has not shown up yet in my account. I just don't have the money to spend right now to get the books before my fa book money comes.

Tlm how much did it cost. What brand uniform did you get.

Tlm what color coat or jacket.

nurseprince.....I am scanning the document now....I am so sorry for the delay....Things r crazy right now....still need to sew patches, get books, get shoes and supplies

Scrubs Etc. is where I went because it the nursing department recommended them. They were super nice there and very knowlegable about what exactly we needed. The girl who was working there told me that the directors stop by there from time to time to inform them on any dress code changes and such. I was picking out what I thought was navy and they helped me by getting the right shade. The landau brand they said is really the only brand to go with in navy with what our school requires they said.

It cost me $9 to have three patches sewn on. I went with a different version on landau than what was recommended because that cut was horrid on me. The director said at orientation to use that as a guideline and that as long as it was similar they wouldn't care. Our information sheet says navy lab coat and I confirmed it twice. The sheet someone is scanning had the actual lab coat number on it.

Oh and I used Scrubs, Etc. because they offered a discount and were very nice in there.

I looked on the back of the nursing pouch and it looks like it can be iron on.. has anyone tried?

Only if you want them to fall off the 1st time you wash your scrubs, and wash them often you will... or burn them, depending on the bodily fluids you come in contact with.

Were you in am or pm? Do you already have a cna license?
I was in the am classes and no I don't have my CNA license.
