Hi, just wanted to start a post about my process of applying at lonestar. Hope to hear from other applicants! I have just taken my HESI and will be applying for the spring semester with a score of 11.54

I am. I like having the book in front of me. I feel that I space out when I do etext lol. At this point I'm waiting in my appeal decision to see if ill even have the money to get books :/

Well if it helps any I don't have books either because of my book advance got sent to my bank account. Also I went to Amazon and they have the books cheaper....The 2 books I need for Pharmacology I found for 40 bucks cheaper for each of them. It would cost me around 165 plus tax at the bookstore but on Amazon around 85d dollars not including shipping....I just don't have the money to buy books without my financial aid however

Has anyone bought all the books yet? If so, how much did you spend in total? I shopped around and bought some used and still ended at $650...

I bought the package and the extra required book and it cost me 740.

I have purchased my books. They cost 668.55, that includes a rolling backpack (75.00). I purchased from Text Express. They were really nice, and they allow you to give them a post dated check, or a credit/debit card to get your books before you get your money. The only book that they didn't have was the writing a research paper book. I have seen it for around 12 dollars, so no big deal.

So books = 542.60

back/pack= 74.95

taxes = 51.00

total = 668.55

Praise God!! I got the call today, there is a spot for me at Kingwood. I am soooo excited and on pins and needles waiting for VA to message me the info. I look forward to meeting all of you that are going to Kingwood.
