Hi guys! I will be applying for lonestar cyfair and a few others in the spring of 2016. I was wondering if anyone had started studying for the hesi and also what grades have they gotten so far in their classes!

Its 4 semesters long and lasts a year and a half. They include the whole summer as well. For cyfair at least, im not sure about the other schools though.
I feel like more people will be on around august.

Do you need to take the math class before you put in your application or can it be completed before the program starts?

Hello everyone, I currently have a 3.428 in the top portion of the scoring rubric. I have an A in English 1301 and a B in Biol 2401. I am currently taking Biol 2402 in the second summer semester in hopes to recieve an A , which will give me a 4 in the top portion of the scoring rubric. I am scheduled to take the hesi at the end of August. On average how long did y'all prep for the hesi and what pointers do you have for the A&P section?
There doesnt seem to be alot of people on this thread yet???

Do you need to take RNSG course before you apply? How will that affect my score if I have not taken it?

if you are taking the HESI in August I would start prepping like now lol it's not the most difficult test but it's better to feel prepared for it :)

As far as studying for the HESI A&P portion goes, I went through the book that was recommended, and it helped with a lot of the basics. A lot of it was watching YouTube videos about A&P in general. Since I hadn't taken any A&P classes at the point when I had taken my HESI, it was very difficult to know what to expect. The questions are extremely random as A&P is a very broad subject to begin with. The Elsevier guide is a great outline for what you ought to study , but I was surprised about a lot of the terminology that came up on the section of the exam. If I could give advice to anyone who has already taken at least 1 A&P course, it would be to go through your books alongside the Elsevier guide. Look into the details that Elsevier outlines. If anyone has any questions feel free to message me or post here. Best of luck to all of you!

Hey guys! I see everyone is applying to the nursing programs. Congrats on getting this far! Don't stress, everything will sort itself out. I am about to start Level 2 (Semester 2) of the RN program at Kingwood. If you guys have any questions I wouldn't mind answering them!

P.S. This thread will BLOW UP after application deadline. Don't worry if there aren't many people on it right now.
hi James!!!
was there a good amount that was accepted into the program with you at Kingwood? There are only 2 schools offering for the spring I wonder if it will be super competitive being its only 2 vs 3 for the fall.
