Hi guys! I will be applying for lonestar cyfair and a few others in the spring of 2016. I was wondering if anyone had started studying for the hesi and also what grades have they gotten so far in their classes!
Hi all, I am looking for a responsible student to occasionally babysit in the evenings (5:30-7:30pm, 1 or 2 days per week, but can take busy/exams weeks off). We are closest to the Lonestar CyFair campus. I need someone to pick up my 18 month old from his preschool (near 290/Barker Cypress) around 5:30pm and drive him about 15 minutes to our house and play until I get home. It can be a set schedule each week, or a completely flexible schedule based on your exams and clinicals. My husband is currently a nursing student at UTMB and in Galveston during the week (did his prereqs at LSC CyFair so we've been on these boards for awhile), and I need to work late occasionally. There would be opportunity for extra hours if you want. I pay $12.50/hour (but minimum of $30 for each day, so $30 even if you only work 2 hours from 5:30-7:30pm), plus gas/mileage reimbursement. Must have references, reliable car, and good driving record. [email protected]
hdegitz,
You don't need all of your shots before you apply, but you will need them by the end of the year. Remember that for some vaccines you must wait before getting another. Depending on the vaccines you still need, you will have to space them out properly to make sure you get them all on time.
If you do not complete Pharmacology before starting the program, you will automatically be enrolled in the course the first semester.
I'm going to be taking the HESI test next Monday. Can anyone tell me what to expect as far as the Math and AP section of the test? I've been studying the conversions for Math, but wanted to know how much more I have to focus on the Math...anything specific to focus on? Also, with the AP, is it a range of anatomy terms that will come up? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Kammommy,
I just checked and they said that they require a min of 75 on all sections for basic track and transition and a 70 for LVN...if you don't mind my asking, are you already in the program at kingwood? And if so, do you have any advice??
