Lonestar Fall 2013 hopefuls

Published

Hi everyone!

I just submitted my application for the Fall 2013 Lonestar College basic track ADN program. LSC-Montgomery is my first choice, followed by LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball.

I applied with an 11.81. Has anyone else out there applied, or are you preparing to apply?

Looking forward to starting a supportive and informative Lonestar thread, as applicants have the past few years

Jen

I mean Montgomery

We do?! Where did you read that. I must have missed it. This is all so confusing!

I got a letter yesterday and there are 5 forms with it.

form 1- intent to enroll, form2- Fastpass, form3 drug testing, form4 SSN varification, form5-immunizations and health information entry.

According to form 5, i visited certifiedbackground.com and created my account. then TODO list appeared and i could download the document I need to fill up.

We do have to register Certifiedbackground.com otherwise we cant get any document that we need. Also, we have to upload vaccine info, etc. there. I did it yesterday, and it charged $16.50.

I did the $16.50 one today and uploaded all the documents for that section, but did you do your SS verification through this website also? It was $5, and asked for me to complete the "release form" and send it back via email.

because I am an international student, I dont have to verify SSN.

But I have another form which indecates another webcite to do SSN verification and it says cost is $10.

lkm84, do you have that information? the company name is Research Information group.

No, I don't have that other form. I'm going to try to call the nursing dept. again on Monday. I did call the certifiedbackground website's phone number today, and the girl on the phone said that when we get our code for the background check that the SS verification should be included in that. That doesn't sound right to me. Plus, she wasn't 100% positive on that. She said I should just fill out the release form and email it back and see what happens over the next week, since I already paid the $5.

I didn't have to do all that either. There is a link for the social security verification in the nursing section of lonestar. Mine was about $10 and went through PayPal. I got it a few days later in the mail.

I looked on the nursing section at Lone Star, but I don't see where it has a link to do the SS verification.

Since we can't register for nursing classes at any other campus, does this include Pharmacology? I am in at NH, but I am scheduled to take Pharm at Kingswood. Does this class matter or just the other ones?

I dont think i got it in the mail...hmmm...

It came via email to me. I printed it out to take to orientation. All the ss verification said was "verified". I didn't have to do anything for immunizations either. Mybe bc we are alternates, we haven't gotten it yet. NH says to wait on any cpr or immunizations until orientation. I'm gonna try not to jump the gun!

No, pharm doesn't count. You can take it anywhere. Are you taking it in the summer or fall?

I am taking it this summer. It starts next month on the 13th I think. Thanks!

Thanks Addismama! I got my background check back via email and it said "completed" for SS verification and my background was clean and i got a green light picture on it :) I am going to just relax now and do things as they come
