well in in the lonestar north harris programs and just completed my second semester and two more too go. the program is not easy but it is can be done with good study habits and hard work. looks like your GPA is good and keep it there. i would recommend north harris and then montgomery. both good programs. good luck. PS: the program is a full time thing that you have to be ready for. demands lots of time.

Lone Star-Tomball has a horrible nursing program right now. Most of the instructors are great but it is very disorganized at this time. Also, when concerns/complaints are brought to attention, there is little or no sympathy despite the inconsistent instruction. Once kinks are worked out it might be okay but steer clear for now!

:yeahthat:
You can say that again!
LOL! Just graduated from there in May. We probably know eachother! :chuckle
well I applied to the NHC program this fall and I'm on the waiting list! So anyone else that's also waiting, good luck! I really hope that I can get in! It'll be so much cheaper from me than to go to HCC!
As far as which program is better, well from what I've heard from diff people in the diff Lone Star nursing programs, NHC has the better program & teachers, of course all nursing programs have their flaws~ But anything will do at this point! as long as you have the RN license, right!?
Good luck to those that are applying and those who DID get in!
I'm in the Kingwood program and love it! It has its flaws like any other program but overall I get a very helpful vibe from all the instructors. I just finished my first semester and I had a great clinical instructor and really feel like I learned so much. Also I don't know if you'd be interested in it or not, but Kingwood is launching its online program for students with another degree already. Since you already have a degree that could be something to look into! Best of luck to you!

I will be applying for the ADN program in January. I wonder if anyone knows of all the "lonestar" schools, which gives the best attention to its NS? This will be a second career for me. I have a Psych degree. I've takenAP I over(rcvd A), and will take AP II in the fall. My GPA is 3.5, and I'd like to keep it there or better. I grad college 15yrs ago...no time to waste if the instructors do not really care??????????pls help with any info...
