I didn't see a thread on here for Fall 2011 applicants to the Lonestar nursing program, so I decided to start one.:) I will be applying to Montgomery as my first choice and am really nervous about taking the HESI test with all of the added components. I applied to Kingwood this past application period with an 11.5652 and got an alternate spot, competition was fierce. So, here I go again, hopefully I'll get in this time around. I'm really nervous about the A&P portion of the HESI. I feel like I've forgotten alot of what I learned. Any suggestions from anyone?
Good luck to all applying:)
Does anyone have an idea how many seats montgomery college offering this semester? I hope they have increased no. of seats as they have new building now...
I don't believe so because at the last info session they said they are hoping to eventually offer a Spring start program, but it all depends on their budget, and currently there are only enough instructors for the 40 or so slots they have each year for the ADN program. But they are accepting 130 applicants at NH this year, instead of the usual 110... An extra 20 slots is good news for all of us They're also finishing up the big remodeling of the new 45,000 sq. ft. Bldg. (behind NW Med Cntr.) for nursing students. It should have opened Fall 10 and again this semester but they never finish any construction projects on time. It is supposed to be very nice & ultra high tech with outlets at every seat in the lecture halls for laptops. Hopefully it will be through in time for the Fall admits .
Tx DiscoDivaHello I am applying at Lonestar NH as well.. I am nervous also my score was a 11.4, my vocab killed me I made a 78 on that part, so hopefully we will get in... Good Luck to you and I wish you the best of luck... Good luck to all you guys..
Hey stayfocus, I don't think you should worry to much with an 11.4, you should be able to get in with that score. The cut off was 11.27 last time and supposedly the scores are lower this year, so we all will just have to keep our fingers crossed.:grn:
I hear that! It was said to me that the vocab has to do with the person's IQ! Honestly if we are not required to have medical terminology or nursing courses then why have an exam with that?! I don't have a clue... lol... I am very thankful for the B!!! I am not usually ok with this type of grade but considering that these were words that have never crossed my path, I am thankful!!!
