I didn't see a thread on here for Fall 2011 applicants to the Lonestar nursing program, so I decided to start one.:) I will be applying to Montgomery as my first choice and am really nervous about taking the HESI test with all of the added components. I applied to Kingwood this past application period with an 11.5652 and got an alternate spot, competition was fierce. So, here I go again, hopefully I'll get in this time around. I'm really nervous about the A&P portion of the HESI. I feel like I've forgotten alot of what I learned. Any suggestions from anyone?
Good luck to all applying:)
Hello everyone!
I have been reading this thread for a while and this is my very first time to post. Congrats to everyone that passed the hesi! Hope you all get in. I will not be able to apply this application period because I made a 56 on the A&P section. Does anyone have any advise on what I should study to pass this section in the future? I studied the evolve reach and it didn't help at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated,
Thanks

HESI study guide is not enough for the A&P section. We should go through our class notes from the A&P class. That's what helped me a lot.
I think the discrepancies we are hearing concerning what we need to be turned in with our applications, really depends on your 1st choice campus. I am applying at North Harris and spoke with the nursing advisor yesterday. She said we definitely have to have proof that we have had at least the 1st HEP B shot of the series. She said last year they did not require it, but this year it is a requirement to apply. She hinted that it was simply because some applicants did not have they're 1st shot by the deadline last year so that's why we have to have proof of it at NH this year. Also I asked her about the printed "Evaluation" we need and told her there is no explanation on the website or application page abut it. She said it's no big deal, that it is actually our "advising report" (I think someone else mentioned it on here to) from our My Lonestar page, and she is printing them out for us when we bring our applications in. I expressed my frustration about that not being explained on any of the program websites, and she agreed with me. No telling whose job it was to list all of that on a FAQ page that actually works! It is just so senseless for them not to take care of that, so everyone doesn't have any extra anxiety. Like we need any extra!!
Good luck everyone :redpinkhe:heartbeat:redbeathe
I really hope that's the reason TxDiscoDiva! I'll be extemely upset if something like that gets in my way. I emailed her again just for verification processes and will keep the emails as proof if for some reason it goes against me. I wish they would have just taken it. Lol. Then I wouldn't have to worry.

Hi everyone..
Took my Hesi on Monday.. 91 overall for reading, 80 on anatomy :/
I studied the hardest for the anatomy section.. I had the review, studied for close to a month & was asked questions on the ear- should have covered that! The review did not cover the special senses.. but oh well. The reading score is really what matters.. I made a 94 on my math so that's good I think..
So my overall score is an 11.65.. I am applying to Tomball first, then cyfair & so on... I am still nervous even though I feel pretty good with my score. Just know a lot of girls what this like I do!
Anyone else applying to tomball?
