Lone Star Spring 2011

Okay, for all of us that did not get into the Lone Star Fall 2010 program and are trying again for the Spring...here we go again.

I'm retaking AP2 this summer (I have a B so now I want an A) to increase my points. After that I just don't know what else to do because I have all co-reqs completed, CPR done and Immunizations done. What are your plans to increase your chances of getting in for the Spring?

I also did not get my letter today, I didn't think it would come this soon but one can hope. I had to work all day today and will be at work on Monday-that will suck, I will be sooo distracted. I think after we get our letters, we should plan a meet up at the orientation to put faces to the names, what do you all think? I keep hearing about how challenging this program is, and I for one have to hold down a job while going through, it would be nice to have a support/study group in place to help each other get through.

I suggested that we all meet at Coach's one night. Once we know who has been accepted, your right study groups will help alot.

Well I feel certain they havent sent them out or someone would have probably gotten theirs today. They really should have a set schedule for when the letters go out so people will know and they won't have to be asked 100's of times a day! I only applied to Kingwood but I feel everyone's stress!

The updated list is awesome FruityPebble!! It must feel pretty good to be at the top of the list with a perfect score...rock on!!! There are so many good scores applying to both CyFair and Kingwood. Does anyone know an estimate of how many people applied this semester, as well as how many people they except at each location.

I know that Cy Fair is accepting 50(if everyone on our list gets in, that's half of our class). Not sure how many applied. I think I heard somewhere that it is usually around 600. Don't know 'bout Kingwood.

Holy Crap...600 people!!! OMG now I am even more nervous because think about all the people who are not on the forum that have good scores. Like you said if everyone on the list makes it, that is half of our class. My nervous are setting in even more now. I was so hoping that someone would get a letter on Saturday, but no go on that. Defiantly post if you get a letter on Monday, I will be checking it all day lol.

That's the same thing I heard at a CyFair info session.

Wow! 600 applicants, that makes me even more discouraged! I am just not feeling good about getting in... too many other scores way better than mine and that is just on this forum. I can't imagine all the other people that have better scores than I do that are not on these posts.

50 out of 600, that's 1 for every 12 that apply, I don't like those odds. I was feeling pretty good about my score till now.tomorrow will be a long day, good luck everyone
