Okay, for all of us that did not get into the Lone Star Fall 2010 program and are trying again for the Spring...here we go again.
I'm retaking AP2 this summer (I have a B so now I want an A) to increase my points. After that I just don't know what else to do because I have all co-reqs completed, CPR done and Immunizations done. What are your plans to increase your chances of getting in for the Spring?
I agree. I talked to several people that did not have any of the co-req's done that were applying. A 11.6 score is a good score I wouldn't worry destinedtobea. I am pretty sure anyone with a 11.4 will get their letter. Also don't forget the ones that get accepted and decide not to go or the ones that applied to a BSN and Lonestar then happened to get into a BSN program there will be those spots available as well.
Thanks for the support. I know I worry too much. I see both points made regarding the applicants that will not share their score and the applicants that have applied to BSN programs. I will continue to keep the faith and pray I receive an acceptance letter in October. Now, if I could resolve this issue with my Pharmacology class; I would feel 100% better. God bless you all. :)
Even though I'm holding out for Quest, I decided why not go ahead and apply for Kingwood's night/weekend program. Maybe I can leave work early enough to get to class. But I couldn't find the link for the online application? Where is it? I never paid any attention to the details for anything but Quest. Is there anything else I need to know or do? I have only a week left. I have all my shots.

once you complete your application, all you need to do is turn in the following to the nursing dept @kingwood.
signed score sheet
copy of academic evaluation for current semester
completed & signed application printout
before printing out your academic eval, make sure all of your pre reqs are visible. if they're not then you must have your transcripts evaluated by an advisor. this may take a while - cyfair has a two week backlog; however they wil work with you. if this is the case then you might want to go to the advising office in person and beg & plead for them to evaluate your transcript asap, if you haven't yet done so. hope this helps.
jpchouston did you take a&p i & ii this summer at hcc on saturday? if you are who i am thinking of we were in class and lab group together. you helped me with the 4th law of the respiratory system, is that you??
hey, it looks like a reunion!!! i was in her class too, and im in her micro class now.
Hello all. New to the site. I retook my hesi and got an 11.7448.Can anyone fill me in on the available spots at cy-fair and kingwood? I put Cyfair as my first choice.
Hi welcome! Congrats on your great score! I'm not sure if anyone knows how many spots there are at each school. I think it depends on the available clinical spots as well that determines how many students they take.
Hello all I am new to this site. I have applied to Lonestar Cy-Fair and I seem to be having the same questions and fears as many of you do. I have a 11.739 entrance score but still a little nervous with all these super scores posted here as well. I am also interested in how many have applied as well as how many will get in. I wonder if Spring has less spaces available than fall? Also the biggest question I have is where do Cy Fair nursing students do their clinicals? Good luck to you all. I pray we all get in!
