Okay, for all of us that did not get into the Lone Star Fall 2010 program and are trying again for the Spring...here we go again.
I'm retaking AP2 this summer (I have a B so now I want an A) to increase my points. After that I just don't know what else to do because I have all co-reqs completed, CPR done and Immunizations done. What are your plans to increase your chances of getting in for the Spring?
Hello all. I am new to this site. I wish I had known about this website prior to applying with a score in the 10.8 range. I could have saved myself the heartache and tears over not being accepted. I did end up retaking two classes and earning an A in both classes. I scored 91.3 on the Reading portion of the HESI and 94 on the Math. I am praying I get accepted into the ADN program (Kingwood) Spring 2011. God bless you all and God luck!

Adv. really need to do a better job of educating new student as to the scoring process and what score they need to shoot for. In my classes last spring I ran into lots of students applying with out their co reqs completed or with 2 B's in pre reqs. I know when I started out I was told NOTHING about what I realistically needed to be accepted. I had to research It all myself.

Amy you are so correct. I just completed Medical Microbiology, and a few students in my class were talking about applying to the nursing program with a total of four classes completed. I told them do not bother because you must have at least 27 credits not including the GPA and HESI score. You have a excellent score so I look forward to seeing a note on here in a few months that says "I got in" from you! Take care and enjoy your summer. (what's left of it) :)
Hi, just took my Hesi and decided to post my score.
93.48 on reading comprehension. 4.0 GPA on pre-reqs. All pre-reqs finished for 4 points.
Comes out to 11.7392.
Hope I get in.

Director Spivey did not speak at the Kingwood nursing information session tonight. This is what we were told regarding Quest:
1. They might start accepting applications in January 2011. (my personal comment: Just to avoid any possible misunderstanding, if you apply in January 2011, you won't be starting in the spring semester of 2011. Classes would start after the spring semester is over.)
2. The presenters said that there might be a Quest-like program starting at another campus, perhaps North Harris or Montgomery. (Would somebody research that and post a factual answer here, please?)
