From reading everyone that got into Lone Star nursing programs I hypothesized one very important point. Correct me if I'm wrong but if you get anything less than A's in English and A&P there is NO chance of admission.
The only instance I calculated a chance is a "B" in English, an "A" in A&P and a perfect 100% on the HESI. Other than that, A's in your classes with a minimum 88% on the exam is my observed formula for entrance.
I see why so many (myself included) get so worked up about the HESI. Anyone else taking the test next week at a Lone Star?
If anyone has taken A&P at a Lone Star over a summer session, how did you find attaining an A over the six-week period? Also, if anyone wants to part with a lab book...(?)
My friend who used to teach at a local high school will do the BLS certification fairly cheaply and quickly. Here’s her info
Y’all please make sure you are getting your certifications through American Heart Association. I can’t stress this enough I had a friend who got into the program and did everything but because she got her BLS from someone else they kicked her out because it was passed the deadline.

Okay cool! Yea I did mine back on March and I was the only one in the class so I was done within a hour! And it was at the instructors house lol kinda weird but not really haha
I’m here wondering if I’m the only one who feels like the checklist is about the take over their lives.
I’ve uploaded a few easy items and waiting on my complete but I have to get all my titers.
For those interested, Express Family Clinic costs are as follows:
MMR $90, Varicella $40, Hep C Screen $30, TB skin test $25. Total $185.
I should hopefully have everything but the background check done next week. Only thing I have left is the CPR, Titers and Physical exam which are all scheduled next week.
Right! I don’t have a primary care dr yet soo looks like I’m calling and finding one tmrw so I can get started on the bloodwork. Also I found a cpr class for $60.. anyone know of a cheaper one? ?
Does anyone know a place more towards houston/katy area where i can get my immunizations and titres done? I just found out my pcp doesn't give the results in numerical value ?
