CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I knew you'd get in! So what schedule are you signing up for?

I haven't heard anything yet either. I picked up my scrubs yesterday.

Erica- Congrats chica!! That's awesome! :yeah:Kim also got accepted into Cy-fair as well as ctgirl! Maybe you'll get to meet one of them.

Pink and J- I haven't heard anything either. I tried calling Valerie today and Ms. Seaback and didn't get either one. I'm going to order my books on Friday and hopefully get another physical.

ERICA!!!! Congratulations! I will see you at orientation tomorrow girl! I was hoping that you would get in!:up::up::p:p:up::up: I can't wait to get all the info. on schedules, etc. I spoke with another new student when I went to turn in all my paperwork and she said we will be getting to schedule our classes tomorrow. I don't know what I'll be wearing tomorrow, but I will have an olive green/brown tote bag from Smith & Hawken with me. Try to find me so we can chat. Looking forward to meeting you!

I don't know exactly what Kingwood's process is, but I got my background check card from the Board of Nursing after I got the fingerprint scan done for CyFair.

Update you guys-

I spoke to Valerie today and she said they were sending all the information and names to the background check company and they would be contacting us, she said it could be two days or even a week but she doesn't think it will be more than a week. I was glad to hear that because I was afraid that we missed something! :loveya:

hey what were you wearing?? I was in the really bright orange cyfair college sweater lol...I was having a pretty rough morning so I threw on some sweat pants and my hoodie lol...ohh and then the most embarrassing thing happened today! my period came and I had no idea I started and it staind the from of my pants! like big time...I was so embarrassed...I'm not sure how many people saw, but I'm sure some did....it wasn't until we were standing in line getting registered but either wya, embarrassing nonetheless lol.

I'm not going to drop out of the program or anything lol, it's natural and a part of life, I jusit couldn't believe that happened to me and i had no idea! oh well, nothing i can do about it now lol.

i was also the one when we stood up to talk about ourseleves, the one who worked at startbucks, who has a husband, son, and my ultimate goal was to become a midwife! now who were you lol??

ohh and i guess we don't have to get our scrubs anytime soon do we? and did you already get cpr certified?? where are you going to go and when??

Specializes in (Hopefully one day..) neuro/urology ^.^.

This post is updated often, so I figured I'd put this here:

I plan on applying to the nursing program @ Lonestar for either Spring or Fall of '10. I'm starting on my pre-reqs this spring (only have Eng 1 & Art so far to apply towards degree - both A's)

Anyways - I was talking to a friend of mine and she said she has a friend who was denied when she had 11.7 points!!

That just seemed insane and extremely competetive to me..

People who applied and got in: What was your score?

Also -- I've been going to college off and on for four years almost..A lot of part-part-time schooling and I have a couple incompletes because of personal stuff. So, my transcript isn't the prettiest and my current gpa is like, 2.8.

Will that affect my chances of entering into the Lonestar program? Would it matter much if I prove myself with the pre-req's?

Thanks in advance to all that reply. :heartbeat

I am graduating from Cy Fair on Thursday :yeah:. I got into Cy Fair with my points being 11.48 with no problem. I had all my classes completed with A's in them. They only look at your grades for English, Psych & Anatomy I. I would suggest having a's in Anatomy II and Micro, as well. I had some really bad grades from a previous college experience, and those were not even looked at. Good Luck.

no way, with an 11.7 she would def be in, I think she hear wrong lol...my points were an 11.34 and that got me an alternate spot, but i think i was the first alternate or close to so everyone who got in right away had like an 11.4 or close to...and higher, plus in the spring it is harder to get in because there are fewer seats as opposed in the fall..

your gpa only matters of 3 classes...english 1301, psych 2301, and either a and p 1 or 2, they will use whichever is higher of the 2...every other class that counts towards the degree has to be at least a c..they could even be all c's lol but i mean obviously it's just better in general to have the highest grade possible and shoot for it..

also, if you failed some classes that dont count towards the degree plan, it doesn't matter...hope that helped!
