So who's with me? What are your points and where did you apply- Kingwood or Cyfair?
Good luck future nurses
1172 is the same as yours Tea.Yes, my clinical is on Saturday. So one day we only have class for an hour and 50 minutes? I was thinking both days during the week that it was 5-9:50. Shorter the better I guess.
That's awesome!! At least we have some thing together that and a Tuesday class I'm thinking. Shorter the better, I'm driving from wayyy across town and as long as I get all the vital information, woohoo for short! :chuckle
Has anyone got their fingerprint/scanning completed. I'm going Monday and just wanted to see what I should expect:p
Is everyone enjoying their time off, school starts in almost two weeks, two more weeks and the program starts! I'm still gathering supplies and whatnot. Researching rolling backpacks, bought some books that were not on the list that I think may help me, and am still Fall cleaning at home :chuckle Hope all is well with everyone:yeah:
Hi Tea,
I'm scheduled Monday for my fingerprints. I found a good rolling bag on Target.com. It was about $35. It was called 'Targas or vargas' ...something like that. I still have to get my TB, tetorifice, and physical done. Those are quick so I just need to take the time. Now that Pharm is done, I'll work on that and try to organize my house again. What books did you buy that weren't on the list? What did they say about the drug screen? That comes later? Or am I confused? I still have my boot on and I go next week to the podiatrist for an xray.
Hi J:clown:
You're not confused. I don't remember them saying anything about the drug screen yet so I'm guessing that comes later, they may try to catch people when it's unexpected :chuckle. Thank goodness I'm safe from that. I got some books on how to study and a book for Pharmacology made easy or something like that.
Erica,
I am so sorry I didn't post sooner. If I remember, I was in an army green shirt and black hoodie. I sat up front. When we introduced ourselves I said I was 35, have 3 daughters, etc. I remember you. Did you get a.m. or p.m.? I'm a.m. You know what, you had morning, but you switched out with Meg so she could have mornings, right? I keep trying to remind myself to enjoy the holidays because I just want to rush through and get back to school!
I did CPR at a place called CPR Now. It is off of Boudreaux and Lain Rd. in Northwest Harris County (Spring). They are awesome, super fast and they do the class we need every Saturday at 9 a.m. Check them out on the web if you want. You get your card the same day. Keep in touch!

I think I remember you too...I did have mornings but now I have afternoon! you said you live in spring or the woodlands? Do you have short hair, like almost to your shoulders? I switched because there were two other girls that I know from some other classes we took together, so I switched to get the same schedule...since our classes don't start til 12 I think were going to meet up at school every day we have class at 8 so we make sure to stuydy...once I get home I want to be with my husband or my son, so it'll be easier if I am away from them to study lol!
I turned in my background stuff, my shot records and my physical...I still have to go get a tb skin test, and I've had chicken pox so I'm not sure if I need to vaccine b/c I have natural immunity...do I have to get a titer test done?? Other than those things, I jsut have to pay for classes, and buy books....we'repretty broke right now but my financial aid should kick in by then, and if not, I will get the money from somewhere lol...
Ive had like 5 million problems with my financial aid this year because everyone kept telling me something different, and I had all of my stuff done by aprile 1st...and here we are in december and it's not completed lol...
Yes, you can absolutely get the titer done for the immunity for mmr and also for the chicken pox. That was me! I'm as close to The Woodlands as you can get without actually being in The Woodlands! I'm sure I'll see you in the mornings if you'll be there studying! It is good that there are some friends that are in your classes. I only know one person and she's afternoons. I met everyone who is in morning classes at orientation. I guess that's okay, I think I do better on my own, no matter how many people say you do better with groups! We are pretty broke too. I think that's the nature of the economy now. I just found out today we officially need a new roof too. Whoopee!
Okay you guys! How has everyone been? I guess we've all been preparing for school huh? Are you all ready? I am but I'm not, kind of scared about what's getting ready to happen but I guess we'll all be okay. Hope everyone is enjoying their break. Kingwood students like me that needs to take RNSG 1172, we start one week from now, woohoo, right I'm more than excited to start really!
I hope one of the veteran nursing students for Kingwood or Cy-fair can answer this. I have been toying with getting a rolling backpack but am almost out of money from buying everything else. Are we required to bring all of our books to class, or is it optional. I do know I will be getting a rolling backpack in the near future but I don't think I will have it ready for when it's time for class to start. Any suggestions? TIA!! :redpinkhe

Yayyy J!
Your clinical is on Saturday right? I wonder if we will be in the same group!
I didn't have to pay because of the grant but maybe Pink or debbie can answer for you. Also, did you have 1172 scheduled too?
