Okay for all of us that are waiting, this is our official I'm waiting , checking the mail daily :imbar, going crazy
, biting my nails
, at the edge of my seat
, can hardly concentrate on anything else :typing, Kingwood and Cyfair Spring 2009 awaiting thread:yeah:We still have a while to go before letters are going to be sent out but let's keep each other encouraged and cross our fingers for everyone that applies!
So who's with me? What are your points and where did you apply- Kingwood or Cyfair?
Good luck future nurses
I used it during the summer when I was taking 3 classes. It's like a little traveling desk. I love it. I don't have a laptop so there was plenty of room for all the books and notebooks etc. During pharm I just had the one class so I used a smaller backpack looking bookbag on wheels for that one. Yes, it's on the target.com website.
Hello everyone, i just skimmed through this thread and i was laughing and crying with you all. I myself just went through the same torture:bluecry1: applying to Prairie View BSN program. Everyday checking the mailbox, calling the school, emailing:typing. lol. and on top of that when i finally did get a letter, i was an alternate :uhoh21: but then some weeks after that i got the acceptance letter and i fell out thanking JESUS!!! whoooo!!!
but i'm glad it's over now, well that part anyway. for all of us, we are now nursing students:nurse:. wow.
I only wish there was a forum as united and supported as this one for the school i'm going to. but i was really encouraged by reading yours. Keep it up pls, it's good to have a support group that understands what you're going through. your friends and family will support you as best as they can, but there will be some things they won't understand. it's good to talk to someone who is also going through what you are going through :wink2:
well i pray that the Lord shall continue to see all of you through the duration of the nursing program and even higher for those desiring bsn and higer. i know we shall make exceptional nurses!!!
God bless:redpinkhe
Hi Lady :redpinkhe:
I felt your post was so heartfelt, you are always welcome in our thread. There is another PV student on the boards. I can't remember her name right but she is also supportive. I also started another thread in the Nursing Student Forum if you want to visit another supportive thread for all of us that made it Spring 2009! Here's the link. I believe a support system on this board will also be beneficial to us all. Even me and I tend to like to work alone.

J, Pink, Kim, Erica and all the rest of us, please join this thread also. It's the Spring 2009, we've finally made it thread!
The rolling backpacks can get expensive. That is why I asked Santa to bring me one! Hey just FYI but if you are like me and can't afford to buy all your books at once....try chegg.com They actually rent textbooks for the semester. I just rented Fundamentals of Nursing for $38.....the cheapest used one I had found was $79.
Hi Pink-
I haven't saw any information on it as well. I was reading the website hoping to find something on the Nursing homepage but there's no updates. I'm guessing we will find out next week in the 1st Steps to Success orientation...
Are you ready for school to start? Have you started reading any? I was thinking about reading the first chapter in the Fundamentals book but I thought I might as well enjoy the rest of my time off. hahaha:smokin:
I thought the clinical orientation was all day on Jan 15. In fact I thought they said that it was the first or second Thursday of each semester? Maybe i'm wrong but I thought they said it was all day (8-5) on the 15th. I've asked for the day off from work already for it but than again , I confuse easily. Maybe I'm thinking of something else. Well, time will tell I guess.
I've been paging through the fundementals book but haven't done any reading. I'm like you Tee, I'm just trying to enjoy whats left of the break. You two are taking pharm this semester also aren't you? Is it a full semester or a minicourse? I had Weaver and we had to write a two page paper on any drug, turn in 5 flash cards on a drug each week. It wasn't a difficult course by itself as she kept it simple and kept telling us it'd get really intense once we started the RN program officially.
I wish now that I took Pharm last semester. I'm thinking of asking to take it over the summer just because I'm afraid it may be too much with the rest of the course load... but I'm not for sure. I did remember her saying it was on the 15th and she said that it could be a half day or full day but plan on taking the entire day off just in case for 8-5. I haven't saw any confirmation nor specific location though... time will tell like you said J.
Happy New Years you all!:redpinkhe

Tee, I ordered this from Target earlier in the year and it's the perfect size. It's not too big or too small.
